it has been confirmed there are only 8 teams in the 2010 bundy cup.It seems there will be three rounds. This is an absaloute joke and the board at nswrl should be sacked. over paid egos who couldnt even win a chook raffle. Why would clubs want to spend up to 250 k on an 8 team comp.The same board has killed the nsw cup and the bundy is going exactly the way the old metro cup went.

Look at the bright side, it will be cut throat all season with no thrashings. The Entrance will be strong. They kept a lot of players over the last 2 years and now they have signed Grant Wooden from Wagga and Jaimen Lowe, Troy Woodley and Alan Munro are back from Central Coast Storm.

Wenty, Bulls, Mounties and Windsor will all have strong sides and am sure that Cabra will sign some players to replace all the losses, so it will be up to Brothers and Campbelltown to meet the standard.

More teams can be good but if they only make up the numbers it is a negative.

I would expect a top 4 finals.

cmon roland you are off your head. how can 8 teams be any good for any competition.what a waste of time and money for the clubs involved.yes it may be a little tighter but the thrashings is not the fault of the professional clubs, it is of the egotistical coaches or ceo's of the clubs wanting to participate just because they won there local agrade comp.it is disgaceful our 3rd tier comp can only attract 8 teams.But who can blame the clubs for the lack of interest..it is a comp with no structure,no development or recognition.. and by the way thats good for the enterance, those 5 players named will be atleast 50 pts.

Come on the NSWRL are running the show. They have a professional board. Look at the PR they do for the Bundy and NSW Cup.

Now being realistic I hope to see the end of the Terry Quinns, Colin Loves and Geoff Carsr. They have don''t sweet bugger all except sponsor Newcastle's reserve grade team on the Central Coast. Propping up a NRL club well they know what they are doing.

I'm actually looking forward to this season more so than past years despite a reduction in teams. Whilst only 8 teams are competing the standard is sure to be higher and we no longer have dead wood such as Chester Hill, Perth and Southern Districts making up the numbers. The current BRC looks stronger and should provide some great spectator viewing.
As earlier stated Brothers and Campbelltown will have a challenge rising to the standard of the other teams whilst it will be interesting to see how The Entrance fare on their return.
