Jarryd didn't have his best game and I believe he is a better fullback but That backline movement consisted of Finch passing the ball to Burt from right to left. Under 7's can do chain passing too.

Hayne must have missed footy that year

As someone mentioned before, Finch's execution is a couple of seconds too slow.

His execution of his passing game is a tad slow as is his kicks.

He just seems to take a second or so too long to execute.

i thought hayne went alright as a running 5/8.

apart from one run i didn't think burt did anything. seemed like it was hayne doing all the stuff a fullback normaly does in attack.

i'd be interested in seeing:
hayne to lock
mateo to 2nd row
kk to 5/8
reddy to fb
etu to wing
burt to goal kicking coach

Hayne to lock??

LOL I'm sorry - talk about complicating and stuffing around the line up.

Hayne to fullback please Mr Anderson.

Remember last year it took old mate Hagan about 19 weeks to work that one out, let's hope it's just a little sooner this year.

I raised that point first as Hayne to lock.

Not now but in 5 years time, he'll end up as a lock like those bigger 5/8ths in the past. Fittler, kenny, lewis. Wasn't sure but did Daley play lock?

after seeing joel defuse the bomb and do an incredible chip and regather, there is no way hayne can b ahead of him for fb.

I actually thought it was a promising start for him at 5/8 .... burt did nothing at fullback (apart from good goal kicking) - but I'd like to see more of hayne at 5/8 .... its disappointing he takes every opportunity to harp on it in the media

are you actually for real or what? Hayne made so many mistakes it was unbelievable I was counting on my hands until it was too many then I had to start counting them on my toes............. needless to say I actually ran out of toes as well........

Everyone is criticising Luke burt but the other guys did nothing as well, even less than our number one!!!!!!!!

it's good to see this forum is still lynching people........... I haven't missed anything at all

jayjay is right. You can also put Twiz and the Colonel in that column, too.

Hayne is a hack 5/8. He has terrible handling, is a liability in the middle of the defensive line and when he does catch the ball he doesn't know how to pass it.

Hayne will kill significantly more backline movements than he will contribute to if he keeps on like last Saturday. If he stays where he is and keeps playing like he did, we will not make the 8. Not a chance.
