Listening to the Captain's Report on parraTV, Nath states Burt was doing extra goal kicking at training and he hopes he gets a 100% record tommorow night, so he's playing 100% but who is out? Reddy or Tautai?

Gee Burt must have really impressed the coach the way he sat on the sidelines last week :?

If you read the other report that was posted earlier it pretty much said that Burt wasn't dropped, rather he had something else that came up that stopped him from playing. I think Hagan's little speech about not being happy with Burt's form was just to please people who were calling for axings

Maybe he did just that.
I have managed teams of people in differing roles over the years and sometimes you need to make numerous changes to try and find the best balance.

Maybe Hagan is doing this. He decides Burt isn't performing for the best benefit of the team so he sits him out for a week. There is no overall improvement in the teams performance (i.e we still played crap and got beat) so he decides that the change of Burt for Hayne at FB wasn't the best one afterall. This week he wants to try something different and he wants Burt in as part of the new change. Maybe this week it is Reddy's turn to sit out, or maybe Tautai's. We will see tomorrow night.

All I know is that Burt has not been the reason the team's attitude has been sh*te all year and while he hasn't been in the best of form, I challenge anyone to name more than 3 or 4 players who have been all year.

It is easy for us to all sit here and tell Hages how to coach and what team selections to make, but in all honesty, he can only work with the cattle he has and at least he is trying some options. Would we all rather he just left the team the same week to week despite the losses?

This is just my opinion and perhaps has no bearing on reality.

If Burt plays fullback tomorrow night it is a DISGRACE!

Simple as that....

He does nothing all season...the bloke who replaces him is a natural fullback who shows PLENTY in the one chance he gets.

If this occurs then Hagan really will confirm he is the stupidest man alive, not just in coaching, or in football, but on the entire planet.

What next?? he will probably sign George Carmont to a 5 year deal...

What a DISGRACE!

You might have it there... would explain why Burt was named on teh Tuesday anyway, before dropping out by Wednesday night.

That and to cover the personal nature of Burty's missed week, so that there were no questions asked in the media. Even Hindy referred to Burt as dropped in his blog to keep up the ruse.

And that's why Burt wasn't named this Tuesday, if it was personal they may not have known if he'd be OK/ready at that point. I'm more than happy with the club handling issues of a personal nature in that way.

Was funny though to see a lot of people wet their pants in anticipation of Hayne being at fullback, and that being the thing that would magically turn the season around . Burt will be back in the #1 it seems this week, and it appears Hagan has pushed Reddy out so that Hayne can stay off the dreaded wing?

With the info coming out this week, it is clear Burt wasn't "dropped" at all, and it was all a smoke screen.

I don't knwo about sensible or not, but I just haven't joined in the "Hayne will save us" hysteria... his form is and has been as bad as anyone else in the team this year - worse if you count the fact he hasn't polled a single point in this forum's overall 3,2,1 for matches this year?
