To Tautai's credit he has made some good metres this year in general play and from dummy half. Been the best out of the outside backs in that regard. He has looked very ordinary under the high ball though and rarely looks like breaking the line... seems to only be able to score tries by catching the ball and running from 5 metres out once the hard work has already been done. Reddy deserves a shot on the wing, even though his form's been down in recent weeks.

then again, thats all Israel Folau has ever done.

This isn't just about tonight, or the rest of the season...

It's about the long term and having the right option secured for the next few seasons.

If Hagan puts Burt at fullback for this game, he should be sacked on the spot.
Um... Hayne already signed the contract and is secured for the next few seasons. Don't you remember all the negotiations in the off-season, culminating in a final acceptable offer?

No one should be entitled to a certain position based on past glories, or because they are a rep player (in a different position). They've both been training at #1 during the week, I'm happy for the coach to award it to whoever most deserves it from that - would be the same for any position/players.

This reminds me of 2003 when we all wanted Micheal Witt in the side and Smithy was like Nah wait till Round 20 or something like that.

And then once he put Witt in, we won a whole bunch of games and almost made the semis from an impossible position.

Turns out Witt sucked - but not worse than Thorman :sarcasm:

Sean Rudder a chance Stagger???

I reckon Hagan would sign him up asap along with Daniel Abraham.

Imagine that....

I wouldn't be too upset of we signed Abraham on a part time contract. If he can regain anywhere near his best form he'd be a great buy. Much better option than Lowrie or Wagon in terms of ability.

Absolutely, this bloke looked like he could have been anything before injury tore his career apart.
