Burt is on about 185 first grade games i think and Bert made 264? appearances

Burt's on 190 pretty sure, Kenny played 265.

As I said, you are putting individual players ahead of the club itself. If you're not willing to support a player like Luke Burt playing in the blue and gold and breaking club records, then you are not a true supporter. Can I make that any clearer?

You don't get it. You're too narrow minded. It's not a matter of supporting one player over the other. And this isn't a battle between Burt and Kenny that is an illusion you've made up yourself. If it was the opposite scenario and Kenny was playing now and Burt played in the 80's i'd feel exactly the same. I support Luke Burt to break this record because he is a current Parramatta player and if he can eclipse our club's record then good on him, he deserves it.

I think it's sad that a supporter would hope that certain records regarding our club are held onto just for the sake of the greats involved. Brett Kenny is a Parramatta legend, that will never change. However if a player breaks some of his records then that should be cheered not jeered.

That is your opinion. You should have a read of Sterlos book and what he says about Steve Sharp scoring the first try at the newly opened Parramatta Stadium. Burt may not be a superstar or a legend of the game but the Legends of the game appreciate it when blokes who put the work in acheive milestones like this... should it happen.

i have followed this great team for a long time and i dont care who breaks records,if Burt is good enough to break the record than he deserves it and anyone who would take that away from him and tries to say he doesnt deserve the record has their head up their A##. pulling on the heart strings didn't work the first time. thanks to familiarity and ignorance, it's always common to champion current players over those from the past. to do this over a legend in burt kenny is more 'un-parra' than that i've been accused of.

It's simple - whoever has scored the most tries deserves the record. It's not championing one over the other but instead appreciating the feats of players from any and every era and congratulating them on these achievements.
