(Almost) Everything went the raiders way today from the refs.

Only once did i think the call was lucky for the Eels.

Pressure is mounting on the Raiders though, like it did on us.

As I said, if we end up playing them down there, I'll fancy our chances..if the refs are half fair. Today they were no where near that - credit to Raiders they still won though.

teams are jockying for position and the game is a business at the end of the day, id bet my balls results are assisted into a particular direction based on key match ups in key areas

have a look at the amount of matches of late being looked into for match fixing, or the roosters bloke just recently

betting is heavily involved in the game, to the detriment

why would i be so stupid to believe, everything, all of the time, is fair an equitable?

so the term "square up" is well reknown in footy circles, if such an event is acknowledged amongst supporters, is this not an admission of a belief that referees stack one team with penalties early to flood the opposing team with equal amounts of penalties at the back of the game? So the penalty ledger balances out?

why would a referee do this? Penalise the indiscretion at the time of occurence, if the ledger is 10-0, thats just how it is

all of a sudden teams are pollar opposite in the indiscretion stakes? Might happen on a blue moon, but probablity is low

michael ennis and fifta have targets on their backs did you hear? as heard by ref audio..Really.. ive never heard that once in my time watching footy. Ennis has played the same way since forever, why does he have a target now?

Under Sutton we are 3-1-1 this season but have lost the penalty count 32-40. Overall its 9-11-1 with him in charge.

Have Cummins and Badger tomorrow night, got a good record with Cummins although lost 3 of last 4 as he did our NQ final, NQ rd 1 and Manly rd 3 games. But we are in the positive in penalty counts with them both this year

How many times have you seen a team getting caned in penalties get a few late in game when they cant win to even the count up.

A ref can set the game deciding when and where to give a penalty, getting a penalty on the 1st coming off your line, compared to on 5th when still inside own 40 big difference

IMO we seem to get a lot of penalties 10m out from the opposition line on tackle 1 or 2, often 2-3 in a row whilst we seem to give them up about 30m out from their line on tackle 3-4.

You do make fair points mate but I don't subscribe to conspiracy theories...not where the Raiders are concerned anyway...maybe Brisbane or Canterbury I'd be more inclined to believe it.

It's interesting that Nine would even do that interview with Flanno. I think we are being set up to loose by the NRL, to be the big failure , the story. Media going along with it. The refs in on it. We need to thump Souths to shut them up. Our management have to be prepared to look very close at the penalties and the referees. Look for how many penalties we get in their half. How many dirty tackles and high shots South put on our play makers. This will be the game that sets us up for the next loss to the Roosters on Saturday night. 5 day turn around. We have to bash them as well to keep the Radiers behind us on the ladder. Yep it's the business end of the season , big bisiness.

The NRL is a disgrace from the 4 officials on the field to the 1 bloke in the bunker to the mrc to the judiciary. Channel 9 have to much control of the game and are pulling the strings of the NRL to try and get the teams they want into the finals.
If it is allowed to continue we could see the game split into 2 again and this time the game will die.
