Broncos before us - 8 wins, 1 loss (by a point)

Broncos after us - 3 wins, 8 losses

Once you go black, white, and blue, you're gonna need a wheelchair...

Question is do we want to play Nth Qld/JT in Sydney with 90% Sharks fans or Dogs where it won't feel like a home game at all !

I think Dogs - JT can just tear you apart if he's on and we can silence Dogs fans because we're a better team ....

Doesn't matter. We have to worry about the storm. They are unbelievable at the moment.

Yes they are looking real good.

But I think the Cowboys take a lot out of that game.

They still gave the Storm a real fight even without JT.

I'm still more worried about a Cowboys team with Thurston than facing the Melbourne Storm.

All the media after the match were raving about the Storm being "clinical" in beating the Cowboys.

If we beat the same Cowboys team that played last night by 16-8 the headline probably would have read "Sharks struggle to put Cowboys team away without Thurston......."

I'm sure of it.

Agree. I reckon with JT they beat the Storm tonight.

F@ck they get away with slowing the ruck down that lot - Smith gets away with murder, it's unbelievable !

He puts his arm out to go left at marker and with his right hand holds them down!!

How do you score points against the storm?
Get up quickly, do everything you can to demonstrate to the refs that they are deliberately slowing the play the ball. Play touch footy on them in attack. Have mennis stick to Smith likes shit all day. They are clinical because they give themselves time. The cows had their chances last night at times when the defence on the line was getting organised. I couldn't believe how slow they were in playing the ball though. Maybe I was imagining it.

We would've put them away last night.

I didn't think either team were that great (Cowboys had an excuse though), the game lacked intensity imo, especially the first half.

Harass Cronk & Smith & they don't have much in the backline to make something happen.

What is our best scenario in terms of where all the teams finish opposed to who we get to play in the semi's?.. Is it possible for us not to play the Cows or the Storm till the GF if we get there?

The two highest placed winners in week 1 can't play each other until the GF. That's all I know.

wasnt overly impressed by the quality of the game last night considering the lofty heights on the ladder

still a few mistakes in both sides

Im not worried, our line speed and urgency in defense goes a long way to shutting teams out

we are like the panthers of 03, score points at will but our defense is so much better

giddy up, lets get this shit done!

Not true.

If storm win week 1 & we lose, then we win week 2, we are off to Melbourne week 3.

The reverse is more likely to happen though.

Best scenario would be to finish 2nd & play Cowboys in week 1 & win (if they finish 3rd).

Then we would probably have to play dogs or raiders to make the GF in week 3.

If we finish first, dogs or raiders week 1 & then probably Cowboys week 3 for GF qualifier.

Anyway, whatever happens, happens.

Win week 1 & get a rest & let the rest sort itself out. We are better than ALL of those below us, providing we play in Sydney.

I liked it better when 1st played 8th ;)

I didn't mind the McIntyre system but if you did finish first & somehow 8th beat you (which could happen in a 1 off game - happened once, also 7 beat 2 a few times), you'd lose your home ground advantage in week 2.

No matter who played who, the team that finished higher on the ladder after 26 rounds should be the home team - this would reward consistency, not punish you for an off-day.

I said highest placed winners. If we lost then the team that did win won't play Melbourne as they both go through to prelim finals
