Buzz is an inveterate drunk, but he does appreciate players who play the game in fun way; Tedesco, Munster, luai, Mitchell..

Anyone willing to admit they pay for News trash and post the 2023 list?

I don't have access to it. There is an article on Fox Sports about why Ben Hunt was left out of the list, and how DCE is only at No. 18 -

Edit -

The above article though does list the Top 10 from the list:

Buzz Rothfield’s top-10 players of 2023

1. Nathan Cleary

2. Kalyn Ponga

3. Reece Walsh

4. Stephen Crichton

5. Shaun Johnson

6. Payne Haas

7. Dylan Edwards

8. Liam Martin

9. Addin Fonua-Blake

10. Lindsay Collins

Read it on the ipad this morning, all about current form, read finals, with a lot of regular stars well down the list after less than optimal seasons, e.g. Latrell at 47 or something likè that.

Pure clickbait.

This is one of the type of articles that really makes me shake my head… there’s no story here, no ‘reporting’, it’s just a journalist giving his opinion - he’s making himself and his view the story, trying to make himself a rugby league identity, which is what News Ltd do. Make themselves and their views the story, and then they can have a secondary story about a different journalist having an alternate view. It’s self-perpetuating.
Why is Buzz’s view on the top 50 any more of a story than mine? He’s done nothing in the game himself, he’s no more qualified than any fan to have a view of any importance. Then you’ll get Hooper shooting him down as a story, another hack with zero skin in the game.
