More like will SBW have the balls to fight someone who isnt a hobo off the street fighting for a sandwich.

lol I bet SBW is a better fighter than 99% of players in the NRL. Even though he has fought bums, how many NRL players have been through boxing training camps like him?

Carl Webb?
Why does it matter how well a player can box? If SBW was actually any good at boxing he wouldn't be sticking around playing league or union.

As someone else said, it's good to have villains in the game

someone you LOVE to hate, it's gonna be awesome, seeing crowds boo the f**k out of him, he's gonna get shat on by everyone, all big forwards will be running right at him !

The guy is a champion and if he transfers his Onion form back to League he will be the #1 player in the comp.

Also, FYI his next fight is against a guy who has been in with Tyson, Lewis and Holyfield.

Don't like him but you'd be mad to turn him away.

He's a polarizing draw card that sells tickets, magazines and would draw in the ratings. Could you imagine a Footy Show where Tallis or somebody calls him out on his s**t? Would be brilliant. Wouldn't happen, but it'd be great drama.

It'll take time for him to adjust, but I can see him turning it on around the latter half of the season. Hopefully he has another season in him because that's when he'll really turn it on.

Maybe SBW could ask 15 minute Gordie about the time he walked out on a contract or perhaps if he had been throwing beer glasses at anyone lately.

Who is also into his mid 40's and about 15 years past his prime.

Unfortunately so are half the name heavyweights out there atm. Will be interesting to see how Botha goes, his recent fights have still been against competent opposition and he seems to be fighting well enough before being knocked out in the late rounds. Getty chinny in his old age I guess. The fight against Holyfield was only 2 years ago.

Should have given his full resume, he's also fought W. Klitschko and Michael Moorer.

Can't wait to have him back, what a sportsman, what an athlete, what a drawcard. Love him or hate him he will be good for the game.

Just a shame he's going to the Roosters.
Finly, someone with some sense.

Is it just me, or are Rugby League fans the biggest bunch of sooky w@nkers to ever grace the world of sport?

Just listen to all the vitriol in this thread. Classic! And yet all of them will watch his first game back.

The game is better off with both 'villains' and heroes. More exciting that way you bunch of skirts.
I have no idea why I started reading through this thread, but I was going to give the exact same response when I saw JM's post. I suppose I would have spelt finally correctly.

I have no hesitation in saying I would love for him to be coming to my club and I think the majority of Eels fans feel the same
