Think you're right Robo. Pinned my hopes on Mcdonald but he's yet to score for Aus. I reckon its been our structure. We've seemed to favour 5,4,1 which lets good sides crowd our only pure attcaking weopon. We're then forced to rely on breaking sides down. We're often penalised out of the game when attacking from the mid field seemingly due to our contact sport pedegris (we get a bit physical). Rather we get a few good through balls going to a couple of running strikers up front bit like the Gerrys. Even a posession game like the Brazilians.

Having 1 up front might work against American Samoa or Fiji, or even new Zealand , but against a Half decent team we simply don't have the skill to fully service a single striker. Our problem is we still haven't figured out how to beat these teams regularly because we are relying too much on Mark S , and our aging team. Why aren't some of our younger players getting a run

Previosuly no future in staying in Aus and playing the game until the A league came along. Theres been couple come through the ranks though. Carney (how funny its that) was an ablsoute revelation in the inaugural season. Griffiths as Robo said. In the past you had to piss off overseas and compete. I had mates that couldve been anything if they stayed in the sport. They went to the old dart and played in the Man U (booo) system as juniors only to get disallusioned and quit. If the A league was around in those days you'd have heard about em for sure.

Cardy we don't want souths to win at all.

We need the top 2 to keep winning except when playing us.

Brisbane are only top 2 on %. If the Rabbits beat em & then we, all of a sudden they are 7th or 8th.

Love to see them in the knockout semis. As for Souths, hard to begrudge them a top 4 (or thereabouts) finish. Just as long as we are in front of them.
