It was metal, some of it was pop/metal......but bands like W.A.S.P, Iron Maiden, Dokken, Queensryche, Whitesnake 87 were genuine metal, bands like Ratt, Poison, LA guns, Skidrow, Gunners..were more an Aerosmith/bluesy sound.

Lets face it ... Ron Jeremy thinks Hendrix SUX ... what a shame he doesnt understand he was THE ORIGINAL who fused Blues and Rock ... the next step was simply Heavy Metal.

But Mr Jeremy is a goose, and hasnt got a clue about any form of music.Thats why he loves Whitesnake :lol::lol::lol:

As for Whitesnake?, Jimi could only wish he had his voice, peform with guitarist such as Steve Vai.....who honestly, if Hendrix was alive would be litteraly pooing his pants at the skill level of this complete guitarist and how more complex the guitar is compared to Hendrix's hippy era.

Hendrix took adavantage of a drug orienated era, where people were that f**ked off LSD...the likes of Keith Richards were seen as sex symbols :lol:

No matter what Jimi brought, Eddie V and Vai etc rocketed the guitar into orbit, guitar is far more complex with alot more variety now compared to Jimi's era, just like cars.
