calories...losing weight etc

I haven't read through all 4 pages of posts in this thread so excuse me if I repeat what somebody has already said.

Forget calorie counting and exact meal plans and just get a basic nutritional info.

Forget exact heart rates, sets reps etc just get basic training guidelines and leave it at that for now.

I’ve been a personal trainer for 8 years now and the reason that 95% of people drop out of their fitness regimes is because of consistency, motivation and individual accountability.

"Exact" nutrition and a "exact" training regime may make a 5 or 10 percent difference to your results but giving up will make a 110% difference (you will put all the weight back on + some).

Sometimes people spend too much time talking and talking about nutrition, workouts and supplements to hide the fact that they are lacking the drive to get going and are hoping someone will give them a quick fix.

My advice would be to focus on the things that will kick you in the arse and get you going like a good music collection to train with or someone to keep you accountable like a mate or someone at the gym.

But mostly, just get out there and do it because when you start it does not matter about the smaller details, you just need to get a routine and rhythm going and once you have that your most of the way there, then chances are, you will know or will be around people who will point you in the right direction from there.

I spent 3 years at university studying this sh$t and the only thing I really need to do to get people results it to kick them up the arse and make them do something, if I had of known that I would have studied a bloody weekend course in fitness.

I you want anything mate just send me a pm. I also have a website but I don’t really want to post it here.

Cheers
Matt
