Charlie and Rosco are talking sense. I always wonder if the push to play Anasta comes from the board rather than the coach, i.e. board push for him to be used because he is on a decent contract to be a first grader. Potter figures he might as well keep the board happy and try to get him up to standard - more or less what happened with Blair (fingers crossed for this year).

Also puts too much pressure on reserve grade salary cap unfortunately.
Cant have 200k players sucking up salary cap for a full season.

Prefer him to retire early and to give him a coaching role.

I think it comes down to this. Austin is a rookie as well. He needs to string together a few good games, be it in the trials, first grade or lowers, find a little consistency with form, otherwise all the pressure is on Brooks. If he can do that, I think all the other reasons to play Anasta will fade away fast.
