Can anyone challenge the Dragons in the 2022 premiership?

Expected result today. The 2022 premiers chalk up another win in a canter, and move on to a real contender next week.

Ahhh, you’ve recognised the long game from Griffin and the Dragons. Take as many losses as possible during the season so that we have the psychological edge against whoever is unfortunate enough to meet us in the GF.

This is big brain stuff.
Plan is going almost to perfection. Obvious misstep by allowing Souths to get the unnecessary win, but we now have the psychological edge over Penrith, Sharks and Eels if those teams are unfortunate enough to come across the Dragons in the final series.

Obviously we don’t bother with these sort of mind games when playing obvious also-rans like the Roosters. But I did like the way we begged the ref to keep Daniel Tupou on the field to give their fans a sliver of hope before crushing it beneath Ben Hunt’s boot.

After disposing of two competition heavyweights in the last fortnight, it’s great to see that the 2022 premiers will have a chance to take a bit of a rest against a weaker opponent this weekend.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Hook rest a few this weekend. Giving players time to sort out niggling injuries is more important than putting on a big score.

Hopefully the 2022 premiers can come through unscathed, and set themselves up for next Saturday’s game of the round against the Titans.

I mean, it happens to every team, doesn't it? At least once per year.
The 2022 Premiers have had an unexpected result in capitulating to the Melbourne Storm. Even the April Premiers are entitled to 1 game each season where they put in a performance like that one. The mental giants behind the Premiers' season deemed this one to be a sufficient loss, just to recharge the batteries, and add a bit more to the Premiers odds of winning in 2022. So in actual fact, it was a smart move, allowing their fans betting on them to win the big prize in April, sorry. I mean October a better payout. Fortunately, with the Warriors 'Dragon-like' performance this week, even the media gave the April Premiers a pass.
Well done, on all counts.

Just quietly.

I’m starting to have some minor doubts about the Dragon’s premiership potential this year.
It's a classic rope-a-dope. Just letting these other teams punch themselves out while we avoid the type of wear and tear you get get from tackling someone.

Well, the inevitable has happened.
The April Premiers, have DROPPED out of contention for the 2022 premiership.
The game they were playing, allowing their supporters to load up on their premiership odds during the year has finally backfired, and they have been shunted into the dust of oblivion in Season 2022.
However, they are already playing mind games for the 2023 season.
The mighty Aaron Woods has managed to activate a player clause in his favour for next year, allowing him to re-sign with the April Premiers for next year, at a nice fat contract upgrade, thereby eating up more of the April Premiers salary cap for 2023, and potentially moving on a promising junior or 2 to a rival club.
This plan of replacing old experienced heads with potential youthful stars is NOT a good idea in the April Premiers' dastardly plan of becoming a force next year, and therefore won't be done.
Here's to another DECADE of inept woeful Queens performances and meltdowns on the Dragon's forums.

Still think they’re in with a good shot. A few salary cap scandals in the next week and they’ll sneak into the 8.

The April Premiers are back baby…..

Early rounds are Flanno territory, get super fit, run hard, tackle hard and be prepared to work your nuts off. The Dragons won’t be easy beats under Flanno.
