The fact you pick your lawyers from the yellow pages says a hell of a lot....

I have quoted a proper source... the Sky TV annual report... a legal document... you have shown nothing anywhere the the Warriors have outrated the Super 14... as a final word from me, since you are unable to provide a legitmate source... Of course League "could" take over Rugby in NZ, but it wont ever be able to do it...

ill repeat again for the slow guy

ive provided 2 sources which directly quote the matter at hand

when asked to provide a direct quote to back up your argument you have nothing.

your only argument is that RL ratings have fallen because they moved it to a less popular TV channel
:lol::lol:

when a 2nd NRL side gets in from nz playing at the westpac stadium, you should have a good view of it.

ill be kicking back and enjoying the game growing so well in NZ. as it should for the spectacle it is over S14.

anyone person that watches the 2 and prefers running rugby will always prefer the nrl over S14.

But one of your sources is linked to a website the public can't see and its linked to something that someone heard on NZ radio.

Not exactly reliable.

You need to work a bit harder Dally.

You lot must lead a fascinating life ...

"I just head on the radio that Princess Diana has died!"

"I don't believe you ... where is your source! I need an internet link! Hearing something on the radio isn't reliable! I wouldn't hire you as my lawer!!!"

PS: What is the reason that an NRL team playing out of Westpac Stadium could not play at night, Te Kaha? I asked earlier, but maybe you missed it.

Logistically it is easily possible, but are there limits on the amount of night events allowed at the stadium or something?

No source required, I will believe you haha.

Resource bloody management act.... To get resource consent they had to limit the amount of times the ights can be put on during a year... The WRU, NZRFU, and Canes have most of them for 25 years with an option for another 25. Cricket got most of the rest, with the same time frame.... a few where left for concerts and the like... The phoenix picked up most of those... in fact it could very well be the phoenix who will ultimately prove to be the biggest stumbling block to a Wellington League team... as the middle of winter has it getting dark by 5pm... or 3pm Sydney time.

thats why the 12 oclock live into sydney time slot would be useful as a way of adding new live product into eastern australian markets.

sunday at 2 ish NZ time would be perfect for them as well.

i had no idea the Resource Concent for westpac stadium included the nightgame stipulation...

im no expert in it or anything but i thought the limit on night games was only for Residential areas. like Eden Park, Jade Stadium & Mt Smart.

i remember hearing a while ago when they were discussing upgrades for the RWC and they made a point that Westpac Stadium & North Harbour are not zoned residential so they didnt have night restrictions...

from what i always understood the RMA applies differently for projects in areas zoned residential and other areas. i could be wrong though...

back in the days when all Sunday matches use to kickoff at 3pm, when the Warriors were around in their first couple of years, did their Sunday home matches kickoff at 3pm (NZST) or at a different time?

except the best crowds are night games... it used to be a 16k break even mark... sunday games wont get that.

League will never take over the Pacific Islands let alone New Zealand . There are over 40 fulltime employers working in the Pacific Islands for Samoa, Tonga and Fijian rugby union as well as fulltime development officers from the IRB . League taking over rugby union in New Zealand, Samoa, Tonga and Fiji is like handball taking over soccer in Brazil .
How many fulltime employers does rugby league have in this Islands ? The IRB have invested 10 million pounds in the Pacific islands alone . How much has the IRLF invested in the PIs ?

in the next 5 years, between 30% - 50% of all NRL players will come from polynesian backgrounds.

the NRL has talent scouts all across the pacific islands and NZ.

with money in RL about to go through the roof, why would people want to play in a substandard competition like the S14 with less viewers and money when they can play in the nrl?

please show me a link where RL ratings have fallen by 22% like unions has.

if im wrong fine, but right now thats just BS. what ive read is that unions numbers have fallen, but the league is doing quite well, outrating the S14 on some occasions.

the warriors crowds and ratings are quite good.

last time round Sanzar offered many more games to keep the S14 contract from falling, a tactic theyll use again. this wont help when the nrl salary cap goes up by a lot and the warriors can pay much more money whilst unions money is stagnant.

oh i agree european union clubs will raid nz, this will only weaken the local competition. but a more cashed up NRL will also be in a position to play a part too.

david gallop has said wellington, central coast and perth are all being looked at for future expansion.

a 2nd strong nrl side in nz would see RL start to reach critical mass in nz

The Warriors are a New Zealand team much like the Breakers in basketball and Knights soccer .
The Crusaders, Blues, Chiefs, Highlanders and Hurricanes are regional teams so Im surprise the Warriors ratings aren't higher since its a Kiwi team representing the whole of NZ in a Australian club competitions .

The rugby union numbers have fallen last year but it was up every other year .
The rugby league numbers in NZ fell from 30,000 to 15,000 in five years . So you do the maths .

Over 30,000 mainly rugby union families from New zealand moved over from New Zealand every year .
If you think Polynesians only play league then think again . The same Polynesians that are moving over to Australia are responsible for some of the rugby league schools in Queensland having a rugby union team . They have brought over their rugby union culture with them. Some of the elite league schools in Queensland now played rugby union or taken up rugby union because the Kiwi's/Polynesians parents wants their kids playing their game and even offer to help coach them .

I heard the pacific Island have had scouts from the NRL fromfans and clubs for over 20 years now . I haven't heard or seen a local rugby player from Samoa turning out for any NRL clubs for over ten years now . Are you sure they exists ?

Why would Kiwi kids want to make the move over to Australia when they have 17 professional rugby union teams to choose from ? I can understand the league kids coming over to Australia looking for a league contract . I mean you only have one professional team in new zealand and they sign more Australian players than Kiwi's .
