i dont give a toss, you lost and are reaping what you sow, maybe not as supporters but as a club, you suck and about 95% agree.
i just post it on here to give you guys some stick, cos, you suck, you lost, eat it boys n crying lil girls

you need to learn a lesson - we as a club didn't lose - we as a club won two premierships and olst the third by 3 points.

I am still proud of their efforts this year..so whatever you write is just crap coming from a crap club..tell me again - where did your teams come?

I can't speak for the other clubs in history, but in my opinion the Balmain Tigers took a slide following 88/89 because they hadn't bought anyone new and as Warren Ryan put it the following year, "the juice had been squeezed from the orange". I don't think you guys are really losing anything besides Fittler (which is huge) but have done the right thing and bought fresh blood. Depending on injuries, i expect you to be there again, so good luck and i just hope (despite tigpie) that Wests can be ther too ;-)

I think next season we are a really big chance of winning the Premiership that has eluded us for the past 2 seasons. The injection of Monaghan and Roberts can do nothing but good for the team. I know we're losing Freddy which is massive ... but. Brett Finch and Luke Ricketson did start to take much larger roles in leading the team etc. Especially Brett Finch who also took on the majority of the playmaking responisbilities. I expect Ricko will captain until he retires then Brett Finch will take over.
Sticky is a brilliant coach and if anyone can get a team to bounce back after two Grand Final defeats he can.

Hey tigpie, get off The Bulldogs bandwagon, we don't want idiots like you (we have enough of them to deal with already)

I think The Roosters will still be up there next year, they have too much talent.

Hey Tigpie are you still pissed off that Dave Dobbyn retired after one hit song.
It surely couldnt be the fact that the tigers struggle every year.
According to you theory
Bulldogs - Al Quaeda
Roosters - Nazis
Tigers - Titanic (sinking ship)

No need to be nasty to the poor old Tigers, Tigpie cam doesn't speak for all of us u know??
I think however you guys (roosters fans) know deep down inside that maybe the ship has sailed, I know the feeling, when the Tigers lost in 89 it was extra dissapointing because we knew that our players were getting on and that it was going to be near impossible to make another GF.
I can't see the Roosters being as dominant from now on....every club must have a rebuilding phase. However with the way the Roosters stack their lower grades it probably will be a short period.

FACT: No team having lost sucessive GF's has ever won the premiership the next season.

They're no hope, WITH Finch and especially without Fittler.

Firman is injury prone and inconsistent, Monaghan (see Firman) Roberts is over due for another shoulder reconstruction but has been great this season, but Fa'aso form the Pennies will prove to be a very astute purchase.

Will finish 4th or 5th and won't be around past the second week of next years semis at the very best.

I don't understand why people could think that the ship has sailed. We've maintained our best forwards, and we've strengthened our backline. We did lose Freddy but i don't think that will be as catastrophic as most people think.

Fittler out of the Roosters side is like Johns out of the Knights. I cant understand why the roosters havent been better prepared for the loss of Fittler, they should have been grooming someone for the role rather then buying a player like Firman, who is an ok first grader at best, but not even a specialist 5/8.

They've been grooming Brett Finch. I realise not for the Five-eighth position but he took over the the main playmaker role and steered the team around more than Freddy.
I wouldn't compare it to Johns out of the Knights. Freddy was out for SOO this year (yes i know for only one game but still) and we handled it fine.

I think the loss of Freddy is a psychological blow to the Roosters, and makes them seem less daunting to opposition sides.

I agree with that. However i still think that OUR game won't suffer due to the loss of Freddy. We still have veterans in the side that can provide the big game experience.
