Can we all finally accept that stadiums are better than suburban parks?

Good post but would love to see a Illawarra and Central Coast get used full time and not just 3-4 games a year ?

Yes. If the Illawarra ground is upgraded then the Dragons should shift a few more games to that ground. With respects to the Central Coast a consolidation/expansion club like a Central Coast Bears playing out of Gosford would be a boon for that area and resurrect the code in the northern Sydney area as well. Having this ground based on a major train line is gold. On top of that a Leagues club right next to the ground! A licence to strengthen the code and make money!

No mention of what increased capacity will be, you made me listen to that sht for nothing!

Interesting to hear you’ve lost money again this year, but next year will be ok apparently lol.
You truly are a miserable person. You have been death riding the Sharks for years but guess what we have managed to win a comp made the semis again secured our future , also you seem to have this superiority complex that you know better, that what you write is gospel you know nothing..

LOL didn't suit your obvious agenda.,
You do understand (then again you're living in whining haze)the loss this year has already been covered with the finalisation of the deal with the developers.

That the Leagues club will be covered for revenue loss over the next two years by the developers, whilst they are free to develop the retail and built Leagues club.

The thing that worries me ,if your mob actually gets an invite to the NRL, and your team gets a loss, you'll be even more unbearable with your whining. This site will go into meltdown.

In all my born days ,I have never experienced someone who looks at everything else in such a negative way as you, unless it benefits you only.I have brother in law living over there,I just hope he doesn't catch whatever ails you.

So what is going to happen except a new leagues club and a slightly improved eastern side. There is not enough money to do anything else. The capacity will be no better, and any improvements won’t justify 2 years at Kogarah.

There is such a side called the Western Side,(shock horror) which will incorporate the new Centre of Excellence ,built and wrapped around the current western ET stand, allowing also for more sponsors boxes and seating. In addition to the main purpose of the C of E.
The Eastern side is the leagues club side.
The State Govt has already provided $12m thereabouts ,as a grant towards it.
Do a little research.

The 2 years at Kogarah from the Leagues club perspective will have its revenue losses covered. by the developer as part of the deal to have the club empty ,whilst they develop the retail side.

So your last two lines are simply not true.

Good to know about the corporate facilities upgrade. It would nice to see the capacity of the ground increase to 25000? Is this possible. If so that would absolutely assure a prosperous future for the Sharks. A great local development club that deserves a decent stadium in my opinion.

And how and why they don't is mental

Well small minds think alike
Like Arko.
Cronulla and Penrith have offered nothing in crowds apart from some public random leap in watching the game like 3 games for the Sharks 3 times a year and 2003/2004 for Penrith..broken pen pointless and at least the shitholes of the Northern Beaches ( which I would rather be living unlike some inner Shitty places in Sydney) should mean more to Manly as they are the only respective place for Rugby League over the bridge and I would rather have North Sydney back as well and heave hoe another club Western Club.

Arko was a green administrator at Manly when the Sharks were added...I know people hate Manly but that is an odd thing to 'blame' him for...

1982 he had a blueprint for 4 Sydney teams, 4 NSW Teams at least...we can't go back but it was mad that Sharks and Panthers were added in 1967

LOL I mean there is such
a huge disparity in NRL club averages in Sydney. If a Sydney club averages 30k plus and the smaller clubs average 12-13k, then you may have an argument.
The number of Penrith and Sharks juniors would swamp most Sydney clubs.
TBH you've offered nothing, and make PR almost seem knowledgable re Sydney.

Why does shark park need a capacity of 25k?

Seriously?
Regular season on average
Roosters don’t get that many
Souths don’t get that many
Storm don’t get that many
Raiders don’t get that many (?)
Parra don’t get that many
They all play out of 25k stadiums.

That was the year teh Swans came in to Sydney, and since then Union has gone pro and the A League started up.
It's always good to look in hindsight.
If that had happened rugby league in this city would have been well and truly stuffed, based on today's realities. The SL war repercussions and aftermath reinforce that view.
