I can't see any negatives coming out of this. A win and no major injuries to key players, can't ask for more than that in a mid Feb trial...

Good news on herbie bay.............. your thoughts..

saw him cut thru the defensive line... ala LOZ..

agree re herbert dude ... I really hope he hits it this year as a few years back I was raving about the guy but unfortunately a bit of indifferent form + injury left me wondering

To defeat a QLD cup team with a handful of NRL players (fringe players at that)34-28 isnt as bad as they made out.

Tweed are a very good team (premiers I think). They scored two late tries to buff up the score line.

Best and Costigan didnt play.

It was our first hitout as a team who have barely played together and most likely never will again.

Last years defeat to Aspley/Redcliffe was much worse. We were full strength and played so bad that night.

Dubster a well drilled side would have a lot of the gremlins out of their game be it a trial or not ... all reports indicate it was an error riddled game ... correct me if I'm wrong.

We will have plenty of occasions this year where we will be without a Costigan or Best (a problem that every club faces) ... the top sides have replacements that can fit into the game plan quiickly.

As I said previously Rnd 5 will give us a better understanding of where we fit but I dont believe in this "Its only a trial" mentality that accepts mediocrity.

Indeed it was reported this morning that Costigan will miss Round 1, also that is the rumour re: Zilly.

Didn’t the Titans have a man sent off in the first minute?

Only a trial I know, but would have preferred a smashing

Not too many words seem to be spoken about the apparently quite ordinary game by Hinchcliffe.

Confirms my opinion that he is not our solution at hooker I'm afraid. Hopefully Flanagan signs on the dotted line, or Linc pulls his finger out.

It's good that Purtell and Herbert had decent games. Couldn't really care about the rest or the result at this point in time.

Yes, I read that too, but can't for the life of me remember anyone getting sent off. I do remember the incident, though.
