f**k me dead there are some delusional people out there.

We have been 'rebuilding' and been a 'young side on the verge of greatness' since 2001!

I remember when Mark McLinden and Andrew McFadden were 'two young stars that when they mature will lead the Raiders back to greatness'.

Newsflash - not only did they not lead us back to greatness, but they have both now retired! We were in the building phase then!!!!

I remember when Joel Monaghan, James Evans, Phil Graham and Jamaal Lolesi were four members of an 'exciting three-quarter line who will be thrilling Bruce Stadium crowds for years'.

Terry Martin was the next big thing. So was Jermaine Ale. So was Bronx Goodwin.

Well, where the f**k are the results? We have had teams full of 'the next big things, future rep players and gifted young stars' for the better part of ten years!!!

So please, forgive me when I hear the excuse that 'they just need some time to mature'. I've heard it before. And sadly, they usually stay exactly the same.

x2. Couldn't of said it better myself.

Chins up Raiders fans, still a long season ahead and there's plenty of improvement in your side to be seen.

Just be patient and hope the Rugby League gods are kind.

Tigers were worthy winners.

Blame the pink men, as you seem to do.

Simple fact you have not quality halfback.

You play tongue at hooker, that is not the other teams nor the pink boys fault.

This team is going nowhere without a decent halfback and hooker. Blaming any other factors or singling out any other players is ignoring the issue.

We have potentially a brilliant 1-5. A talented forward pack that can dominate any other on its day. A 5/8th who is awesome when the team has momentum but struggles when we are behind. We need a couple of players that can take control when the game is in the balance. Doesnt have to be anyone flashy. Put Ennis and Kimmorley in this side and we would be top 4. Put Smith and Cronk in the side and we would contend for the premiership.

McCrone is a nothing player, may aswell have another second rower playing in the 7. Tongue trys hard at hooker but he is prone to making stupid errors and decisions. He's clearly not comfortable there. I am not sure if waddell is the answer either...The club has to bring in someone to play 7 and fast otherwise it will be another wasted season.

Tigers deserved the win.

Your forwards were good. You had many more chances in the oppositions 20 then the tigers. The difference was you guys made an error most of the time while the tigers pretty much scored every time in your twenty. Blame your poor fringe defense and lack of experience for the loss.

And dont be so emo raiders fans, tigers are one of the best sides and will go far this year.

Even Campo is still maturing, yesterday showed he has some way to go.
22-22 and 10 to go, he's in beatiful position to go for a 1 pointer, but puts in a nothing kick straight to Ryan. Six tackles later its farah slotting over the one pointer....but yes the 7 & 9 is the thorn in your sides side

absolutely
hopefully waddell is the answer at 9, but i have no confidence in anyone at our club at #7
i think we need to wash our hands with McCrone and Herbert... Sam Williams or Mick Picker, lets find out what these guys have at NRL level and lets get out and find a solution
i think the club knows this too, its no surprise that both McCrone and Herbert are off contract this season and the club has been mum on them both. The club is showing its hand imo, and its hand has no intention on having McCrone or Herb in there next season

where do we find an NRL standard half... thats the issue... Brett Finch, he's quietly become a very good player. We could do worse.

Hell forget when it was 22-22.

When the Tigers were up 23-22, 4 minutes to go, Campo has the ball in prime field goal position.

Take the 1, tie it up, golden point if need be. He put a nothing kick in that put the Tigers go on the attack.

Or when we were up 22-4. 3 minutes from the half, Campo could have taken a one pointer. It's now 23-4, 2 minutes from the half and we get the ball back. But no. And we know what happened 2 and a half minutes later.

Yep.

Which is why I don't really rate Campese too highly. Has a massive boot on him and is a strong defender...but is really stupid at times.

Correct but ink is right, campese is still a guy who's maturing as a player too, remember he's only 23 years old himself. He made some dumb plays, and if he didnt we'd probably be sitting here 2-2 instead of 1-3

He's older than that surely.

I think he's 26 from last check? His hair says he's about 45

Just cheaked, he's 25... but his age isnt really the issue is it? A bloke of his experience is usually about 23. He's still got growth in his game and he'll learn from that game too.
Campo needs to get smarter though, no doubt, if he puts that conversion over or he kicks a FG, we get momentum back, and i think we might have seen a different outcome...

He's 26. At 22-22 I admire his confidence to attack but sometimes you need to play it safe.

I don't blame him for the fiasco at 23-22, that was McCrone's f**k up.
