On my voyage of discovery to find the '94 GF date, I uncovered the following stats. Impressive, anyway you look at them.

Winning percentages at Canberra Stadium (incl Finals)

1990 11G 8W 1D 2L 77.3%
1991 11G 8W 3L 72.7%
1992 11G 9W 2L 81.8%
1993 11G 9W 1D 1L 86.4%
1994 11G 11W 100% :D
1995 11G 10W 1L 90.9%
1996 10G 8W 2L 80.0%
1997 10G 7W 3L 70.0%
1998 12G 10W 2L 83.3%
1999 12G 8W 1D 3L 70.8%
2000 14G 12W 2L 85.7%
2001 12G 5W 1D 6L 45.8%
2002 12G 9W 3L 75.0%
2003 12G 6W 6L 50.0% (pretty crap considering the quality of the season)
2004 9G 7W 2L 77.8% (so far...)

Overall 169G 127W 4D 38L 76.3%

I remember that 1994 display at home. No one could touch us. 93-95 was just a golden period at Bruce, the most feared ground in the league.

2003 we got as far as we did because of our away performances - we were almost unstoppable, not at all like we'd been in previous years. The rule of thumb used to be "pencil it in as a win at Bruce, and a loss away from home."

Yeah last year was strange. I remember us struggling away from home the previous year and the one before that but we won most games at home.
Last year was a reversal, winning more on the road than at home.
Very strange.

I think that might be put down to putting too much emphasis on winning away last year..That seemed to be all they talked about!

I remember the day in 1995 where the winning streak finally ended at Bruce. It was a surreal feeling, from memory we played Manly and lost 10-8 in freezing conditions. It was an absolute cracker of a game, from memory kick off was held up because the ref was still on the plane into Canberra.

When the full time siren went there was absolute silence for a little while, we had won something like 20 straight at Bruce and it was hard to imagine it had ended.
