The most embarrassing issue in Rugby League imo :sarcasm:

Seriously, a record breaking crowd and Souffs indulge in the most cringe-worthy attempt to manufacture an atmosphere since every time I've been to Parra.

Not only pre-recorded crowd chants but a f**king microphone in the Burrow amplifying their toofless, incoherent dribbling and sooking.

Yep, absolutely embarrassing. The microphones in the burrow are the biggest joke, trying to trick the TV audience into thinking the whole stadium is chanting when in actual fact it's all just manufactured.

The centrepiece for me though was the giant "SCUM: forever in our shadow" that was clearly printed by the club. Too massive and professional looking to have been organised by a couple toothless burrow members on their own.

But The Burrow is one of the few supporter groups that actually chants. There's no need for the mics to be turned up - you can easily hear them without it.

Not as cringe worthy as when they go through the Souths team on the Big Screen and all the players put their hands together and make some gimpy lightening though. Even the Coach did it. Could you imagine a Bennett, Bellamy or Hasler being told to do something so lame? "Get f**ked" would be the common response I'd imagine.

Never liked the pre-recorded chants or the microphones in the stands...it is just lame. Also I hate how when the away team gets a chant going and then the PA announcer gets on and tries to silence them by chanting for the home team it basically goes over the real life chant.

Honestly, chanting in league is just shit, mostly due to the above.

Microphones should be banned from all venues. Signs are good and can be funny, like when souths put 'Scum: Forever in our shadow' only to be utterly humiliated and remain in the shadow of the poosters.
