Can't believe this rubbish

Only one team below us in points scored against.

If the team looked like having a chance to win I'd feel differently. But our attacking structures are rubbish. We can't score points in the second half. And there is not much about our play that makes me want to watch them. And I've been keen to watch them for 4 decades... Until these last few years.

Mike who?? Give me Matty Cooper any day.

You're typical of the Dragons. A boring, inconsistent player who pales in comparison to your opposition. You have no right to rubbish your supporters and critics especially given you are abandoning ship.

Onya bike back to the league where you aren't scrutinised for not being good enough.

I have had my say on the previous page , however I truly wonder if the players realise that we the fans are in ' for the long haul ' , and not for the length of their contracts ?
Sure , we are supporters of a most proud club with a wonderful record of success . However the real glory days ended in 1967 . So what is it about St.,George Illawarra that still draws people to support the club today ? It is something different for each of us .
Whatever that may be , we are one of the most passionate supporters of all Clubs .
We do not demand the absolute prize , the premiership trophy ,each year , but what we do expect , is a wholehearted performance both on the field , and also perhaps more importantly in the decision making of the Clubs board , every year .

To quote the comedy classic Police Academy 3 "...talk is cheap!"

It's really time to let their actions on the field speak louder than their words because whether it's the season being at a crossroads or that the attack will come or the attack is a work in progress, the one thing that doesn't change is the actual bloody performance.

f**k this guy has no idea, I remember some bloke I used to work with used put crap on Scott Gourley saying he was soft bluh bluh, I like a true Saints supporter defended him..man o man Mike Cooper is a shadow of a player that Gourley was, goes to show how bad things are at this proud club, when we have a very very average player in Mike Cooper cheering him on like desperados we are hoping for a miraculous break or something. In hindsight I now believe Jason Ryles was a far better player than what many here thought, f**k Mike Cooper I can't believe it, can we call on Rod Reddy to take him to the airport ASAP as he is master at doing these things!

I think we need somone with passion to help run the club. And players who care and have pride

I am not sure what these people expect? We played three teams below us the past few weeks and never looked like threatening. Now our season is pretty much over if it wasnt already.

Like someone said earlier, you play how you train. So there is something wrong at the club training wise or we simply dont have the cattle. Most likely a combination of both.

The fact is the problem runs deeper than i first believed. Sure the players are trying hard. How about playing smarter?

All valid points raised by everyone and just like the Official Facebook page, every piece of media being released by the Club, is savaged by fans....
I also wonder what type of 'induction' do players have to the Club, it's history, it's culture, the legends of the 11 in a row? By the sound of Coopers comments, looks like he came off the plane , straight to the Gong, sized up for a jersey and you good to go son!
I'm over the spin and 'training hard' rubbish as well....

Shows how strong the excuse culture is under McGregor's watch.

They are going to keep losing.

Wow the teams below us comment really scares me. He does know Manly, Souths and Roosters have won a comp in the last 5 years and been in finals every one of them? They have lost a heap of talent (Roosters basically lost their spine) and play far more attractive footy than the Saints have in 5 years. I would not be too upset if this was the 1st time in 5 years my team was not considered a TOP 4 threat like they are. Yeah TOP 4 not a scraping into the top 8 side.

Saints will be lucky to win another game this year with this attitude. They are so lucky Roosters and Knights won't catch them to give a true reflection of how bad they are.

They may not catch us Slippery, but they'll get the chance to drive that point home as we face both in the remaining rounds.

The playing group feel hurt.

I don't doubt that they put in 110% effort every week (more so than some teams ahead of us), yet are let down by extremely inept coaching and lack of skill. It's not the right attitude, but I can understand why the players would be frustrated at fans screaming that they're putting no effort in, or they don't care. These words Cooper said are straight out of the mouth of McGregor. It's exactly how he talks.

This has culminated in the players losing faith in McGregor as a coach. Hence our past few results.

Mary and Doust have to do the right thing and resign. Start fresh with a new coach and new management.

McGregor is a cancer.

Don't underestimate the public dirty laundry affecting the players and I feel the Fan Day fiasco after Titans disgrace where 40 odd ppl turned up would have underlined the true feelings of Fans...kick in the guts!

I"m not convinced they are trying hard - certainly not for 80 minutes. I am questioning their effort. I'm questioning every aspect of their performance. The results demand they are questioned.

Agreed. At the time I said it would be a lonely place being a Dragons player. That would have only gotten worse now and i do have some sympathy for them.

The sticking together thing is admirable. However, if there is no solution that everyone has bought into, you're just delaying the inevitable.

While the fans and the media have voiced their opinions/concerns, there needs to be action from within.

I hate to say it, but I think we need someone in the playing group to stand up (assuming they are in fact unhappy as we think they are) and say something.

It's fraught with danger though. Nighty and Creagh would be good options given their respected standing.

What would be more likely is Rein or Benji doing it publically once they are officially cut and it being dismissed as a bitter ex-player.
