Just to see what our illustrious management do about player retention and new signings for next year!! lets see what they pull out of their arses this time.

For the first time in about 8 years!! I couldn't give a stuff who they don't offer a contract from our fulltime squad, I mean things couldn't get any worse could it???

Maybe we should clean out the decks, add 3 bigg names and give half a dozen kids a go in the big time.

your thoughts?

I predict any potential stars we have running around in lower grades will be signed by other clubs and we'll sign some 100 year old neville who was never any good in his prime.

or sign a couple of top liners and place 'em in premier league. if we do have to play them in 1st grade we could then put them in a completely different position. Why not?!

I'm sure another bunch of dead wood players will be bought from clubs below us on the ladder, which very soon will just be Souths and Manly.

And he'll probably be from St George or Souths.

P.S. By the way, Tuquiri and Orford are on the market I hear. Sorry.....no chance, they are GOOD players.

I don't agree that Tiquiri is on the market.

He has already said siad he misses Brisbane and wants to return, and there is only one team that plays out of Brisbane.

Its a done deal IMO.

If Melbourne let Orford slip past the June 30 deadline then we should be in the box seat to sign him up. With money freed up from Jamie lyon and Vella on at least a reduced contract we should be able to sign him up.

If we only come away with Matt Orford I would call our recruitment drive a huge success. Fill the rest of the spots in the 25 with Premier League guys who have shown enough to suggest they could cut it in First grade. Although I think Orford will stay in Melbourne.

Missing the whole point

We've got a really good squad of players after most of the deadwood was cleaned out last year. Manly bought our rejects...suckers!

What is stuffing us around is:

- Players not turning up for the intensity that is required for the full 80 minutes. Not good enough to float around and then hit the switch after half-time. Pull your fingers out you lazy lumps!! ( Hindmarsh, Dykes, Grothe, Cayless and Morris excluded )

- Brian Smith's backline selection policy. Not really working, time to try something else before it's waaaaaaay too late.

Parramatta=Transit Loungue.

I wouldn't hold my breath either when it comes to Vella being on a reduced contract.

Tiquiri (wants to play for brissie but they cant fit him under the cap) roosters would probably get the best going round with fitlers retirement freeing up a lot of cash.

lockyer, orford, luke Priddis, rodney howe,

Broncos will have Lockyer in hand before june 30.
Luke Priddis could be an interesting prospect though, particularly if Orford is unavailable. Priddis at hooker allowing Dykes and Morris to focus on forming a good halves combination.
I think Howe's best days are long behind, better off developing Tsoulos, Armitt and Cannings for the long term.

I think really if should chase a outside back a centre or Fullback.
Not sure who is off contract who fits that, is Clinton Toopi of contract?
Craig Hall from Newcastle would be a good buy.
Bugarelli from Canberra someone like thats except younger Bugarelli is 28 so someone his size but around 22.
We have a good forward pack when they are all fit.
We need to replace Lyon and need backup at Fullback, Wing and Centre, why did we let Donald go?

we need a winger/centre that is a weak point at the moment, solution=Matt Utai, if we had Utai and Grothe on the wing then that would be something special

other players that could be handy buys are Glenn Morrison although we already have Pai, Hopkins, Muspratt & Widders at lock....but Morrison is a class above them

Hohaia is also off contract but we have enough 7's and 5/8ths and i'd rather see him stay at the warriors

We needed Orford 3 years ago but we got Dykes and McFadden. Now we don't need him. We need powerhouse forwards!! Fast running hard hitting forwards.

Willie Mason mould (but not him)

There isnt a problem in the forwards. What Parramatta needs to do is develop or recruit some players in the backline that are effect attackers and defenders. Also develop or purchase a playmaker to back up Dykes and Morris.

Parramatta are the leagues worst defencive team, that is a area that really needs work!

Do you know how hard it is to sprint up in the defencive line every set of 6?
If you have ever played in the forward pack you might have realised that.

I agree that they can be more intense at the start of games but that is not a personel issue, it is a attitude issue.
