He is a good player now. Back when we released him he was struggling. I was very surprised to ever see him back in the NRL.....

Clinton and PJ have re-signed and unless released look pretty comfortable where they are. I'd kill to see PJ back in the blue and gold again......

Brad Drew has not played consistently since the 2001 season....... he has some good games but he has some shockers as well.

Wouldnt take Drew back. It will be interesting to see if he resigns at Canberra, I'd say they'd be offering him a reduced contract.

Keep (most of) the current squad and play players in their proper positions would be a good start...Wagon to lock, Dykes to 5/8, Witt to half, Burt back at fullback...

We have the player with enough passion for 13 guys only he's injured...

I dont think we should sign any big name players who have passed their best or useless reserve graders from other clubs. This happens every year. Its time to look in the junior development at Parramatta and resign as many players as we can running around in PL, Jersey Flegg, SG Ball and Harold Matthews. Sure we wont sign them all, but at least we'll sign some future first graders at Parramatta. Remember the Baby Eels of 2000, we had guys like Marsh, Burt, Cayless brothers, Hindmarsh, Lyon, Richards, Ryan, Robinson, McGuire. Such a good talented side, why cant we back to those days.

We could and would if Smith would stop playing favourites and give some of our promising juniors a go.

Smith has made some great decisions getting rid of some deadwood over the last couple of years, but there are still some that have a "USE BY" date stamped on there forehead, and we have past that date.
A certain 5/8th (and I use that term loosely) springs to mind.
A certain prop forward has an attitude problem.

If we bought Utai I would burn my Jersey! He gets into too much trouble to bring him into our club for starters.

Smithys problem this year was he bought "big, ugly b*stards". Helloooo... any of the gals here will tell you that is not the answer. Just look how well the cute ones do (Grothe, Hindy and for some Morris). I say there is a selected panel of girls this year (the Hill girls put their hands up) who are given a cheque book and told to do what we do best... SHOPPING!!!
