Yeah we're giving him a chance, but I think Junior will be waiting in the winds if he stuffs up and doesn't adapt to our style of play. I mean Kevin forbid we have another Daniel Holdsworth of 2008 again (crappy halfback with no other option)!

Tia-Kilifi offers good depth in the backs. Idris and Morris were injured at various times this year and we had Millard - with him gone JTK should fill that back-up centre or wing role...

to be honest I think Turner will be our number 1 winger with Goodwin holding off TK. I love what I see of Turner, really rips in and has good footwork that often beats the first man, and seems to have impeccable timing chasing kicks too.

The only real advantage Turner has on El Masri is speed! BUT... he doesn't have the goal kicking talent nor the talent to find the line the way El Masri did. Plus I think El Masri was a better tackler IMO. There negatives outweigh the positives here.

Strongly disagree. We've got able back-up in the goal kicking department with Ennis, Goodwin and even someone else can do it (is it Roberts?).

Turner is fantastic with hit-ups, he plays well above his weight and hardly gets dominated, whereas el masri took too many hit-ups and got dominated 75% of the time. It will make a massive difference for us not having El masri taking hit ups.

Turner has it over El Masri in the air. He'll also provide us with attack on that side of the field which we never had before (teams would just leave el masri unmarked knowing they'd catch him in 2 metres).

2006 Turner 18 tries from 27 games (17/26 el mas)
2007 15 tries from 21 games (10 / 24 el mas)
2008 11 tries from 26 games (+ 8/9 goals!!) (7 /21 el mas)
2009 10 tries from 22 games (14 /25 el mas).

I think Turner will be just as good as finding his way to the try line thank you very much

Tbh i like Turner alot. He's not a superstar but he's a class player who's a good finisher.

I personally think Idris will be better for having an actual attacking weapon outside him.
