Just a thread to keep track of the news etc leading into next season.

Obviously Stacey is retiring, and the Dragons will be in search of a replacement. Michael Dobson and Matthew Head have been rumoured to be targets.

Also, according to this article http://www.superleague.co.uk/story.php?id=8603, Adel Fellous and Lionel Teixido will find themselves starting in the UTC squad next season. * And Quigley leaves the squad for Aaron Gorrell to resume his spot.

come on those two are very average, head & dobson give a french kid a go or gresque as him seems on the outer at wakey with brough & drew headed there.
With fellous & texido cut it would seem a couple of other french boys must be in the fulltime team next year guessing guesh son or that other promising half they have.

At the risk of getting all my international news from RLR, apparently there is a 50 per cent increase in French rugby league clubs for 2008. This includes new clubs and old clubs making a return....

Anyone who is more informed than moi care to confirm or comment..??

I heard that too, but have also seen a correction elsewhere. 50% increase in the catalan area and 25% across France as a whole. Both very good figures.
