Reports are the booing was not at Hayne but at a penalty, however if people were booing Hayne then Cayless' comments are completely justifed. It's poor form to boo your own players when they're trying their guts out.

You forgot one or two of his mates....... I can understand the criticism but even Moimoi was sh*t for the first half against Canberra. Our go forward outside of two players has been sh*t for the whole three weeks really - without Mateo or Grothe we'd really have struggled.

Think he's being a bit precious... or totally misunderstanding the situation.

Refs seemed determined not to give us any penalties, so crowd was calling for it. Crowd boos ref while Hayne happens to have the ball at playmaker and does nothing with it... a Cayless over-reaction :?

Yes, he should lead the way..... so should some other players.

As for the inference that Cayless is a metre eater - he has never really played that roll through out his career. The way he is used at Parramatta is completely different to the role he plays with the Kiwi national side - he is used more effectively as prop who plays before the line as much as he does going through it. Moimoi is a metre eater. As was Stringer.....

Cayless should make more metres but he should also be used more effectively rather than as a bash and barge merchant.

I was attempting to be politically correct. But there's the debate - some would say his defence has contributed and he's still working on his attack; others would argue it's not enough and he's been hopeless. Debatable.
