Mine job + Kurri = more $$$

Once he realised it was unlikely to get a start in NRL, he did what was best for himself and his family.

Lost 42-32 to the dogs.
We were down 18-12 at halftime, but clawed back to 24 all. The dogs got a bit serious and ran up a lead, but we never gave up and scored the last two tries.

Fairweather - very good gamewith some real mongrel in his hitups. He is ready for NYC again.
Tua - some really hard hit ups, but still has L plates on - poor defence.
Williams - his worst game in a while with poor defence down his side of the field.
Vuna - decent hit out, mostly in the second row.
Fawcett - very classy player
Api Pewhairangi - scored a decent try and did some good ball distribution work - the 18 year old is improving.
Ndaira - very quiet when at half, sparked up later at hooker
Edwards - great game - i think he was knocked out for a second in a head clash - went down like he was out cold, but jumped to his feet and staggered back into the line. The ref wanted to stop play, but by the time he ran over Eddy was back in the line - not sure if he knew what ground he was at though. The trainer ran on and told Eddy to come off, but he refused till he had done another hit up, just to prove he wasn't hurt. When Eddy came back on he scored a barge over try against a bunch of guys who have played firstgrade and tackled himself to a standstill. A tough, tough display, but not sure he will remember it.
Wyborn - improving every week. He is a very versatile footballer.
Miller - played about 70 minutes, mostly at prop. He is over his injuries and improving rapidly. He is a smart footballer who raely does the wrong thing.
Vlaicky - worked hard, but made few inroads this week.
Marvin Filipo was very strong in the forwards, but he is a dumb footballer. Butchered a couple of tries.

In the preview on NSWRL.com they say 10 of the dogs have played firstgrade and have 230 games or so between them, while we had 1 firstgrader, Ndaira, with 29 games (Vuna made 2).
They caught us out down the Api Pewhairangi, Williams, Tua side of the field 3 or 4 times, but apart from that, our very young and inexperienced side were actually the better side.

That's about the best side we have put on the field all year.
If they chucked in Edwards and Tovo, they would give firstgrade a decent game.

oh wow, i'm seeing "first graders" in the Centurions!!!

so then, what's changed? does this mark a complete lack of faith in these players from Stone... or has he finally decided the Centurions are a viable option for first graders to play for?

I see Chris Adams makes a return, also who is this Pewhairangi guy? (if anyone knows)

I can tell you that Stone was at the game in Charlestown on Saturday, and the boys played fantastic - if we had a few less kids we would have easily beaten a side with 10 firstgraders running second.
I think that was the first time in months that Stone got to see what Rip has been doing, and it was impressive for him.

He is an 18 year old Kiwi in his first year at the Knights.
He played a few trials and played last week.
I don't like him much, but he has improved a 1000% since the trials.

Ok thanks roops :) be good if we get a run on the NSW cup game on Fox this week (or in the future if our team continues to get picked like that) so we can see how they are going.

Interesting matchup - number three for Centurians Keith Lulia lines up against Saints number 4 Lulia Lulia - his older brother.

So Does Vuna not being name in any team this week mean he is actually injured?

Chuck him on the wing instead of Fawcett and we have probably fielded just as bad first grade back lines over the last few years.

All do a complete video review of Centurions game every week.

Most of the time at least one of us watches the game live.

At least one of us (usually Stone) assists in a training session for Rip once a week.

I don't think it is the first time in months that Stone has seen Rips work.

Looking at that team again - it is a bit light on in the prop department. The only specialist prop in the entire squad is Mitch McMahon, and i haven't seen anything great from him after he spent a few months injured till a few weeks ago.
Lucas Miller spends plenty of time at prop, but he is a small prop/second row at best.
No Edwards, Tovo, Shearer or Croker leaves us looking very short of big men.

you know what - saw on TV that Chris Feather played for Wyong last week.

It would be a perfect week to give him a run for the Centurions, given we have no props.

50-22 win.
We actually lost the second half again because we were up 34-0 at halftime.
It will be interesting to see the scorers tomorrow.
