What's the deal with Aussie broadcasters always failing to show the winning team lift the cup? Fox stopped the broadcast 20 mins early to show repeated ads for their other shitty offerings (like the white-hot action of Australia v Bangladesh Football qualifier)

In New Zealand we didn't have the studio, just the commentary during the game. We saw the cup get lifted though but it was just crowd noise which I suppose is better than nothing.

Perhaps, but no Leeds fan will give a monkeys. Clinical performance and great send off for 2 legends of the game. Whether they can give the ultimate retirement gift of a league and cup double - time will tell but they are certainly in a great position to do so.

Lizzie Jones performance pre game was a great touch too. Happy 120th birthday RL

Watched the game, thought Leeds looked good as per usual. I was just glad that Hull KR didn't win because I'd hate to see them represent SL in the WCC next year. Good to see that Leeds also booked themselves a place because I'm sure they'd sell out their WCC clash and put up a decent challenge to any NRL side which would be a good advertisement for RL.

Nonsense. The Superleague Finals series is effectively seeded so the cup offers something different. The fact that KR can knock off big sides like Wigan and Warrington on their route to the final is what the cup is all about. Sheffield Eagles mugging of Wigan at Wembley is one of the most remarkable games in the sport's history.
