Hugely disappointing effort by Warrington.
It's cost of living driving people away what else could it be, but 8k for a final is piss poor. I know it's tradition to play at W but the distance is just way to far these days. And also the fans who turn up to W should have some sort of incentive to get half price tickets for the Ashes at Wembley. That would give the Ashes a massive boost.

The challenge cup final, Wembley and London just doesn’t have the same pull or appeal to northern based fans these days unfortunately.

id honestly play it at the newly expanded etihad stadium Manchester.

Just for some perspective

1998 60k
2006 65k
2017 68k
2024 64k

this year will likely be 60-65k.

What? There’s only been two cc finals at Wembley in 80 years (non covid) under 60k! Why on earth would you play it in a 60k capacity stadium?

so you want to lock people out, potentially up to 15k-20k, so the stadium can look full? Glad you're not running the RFL!
The last challenge cup final to get 80k was you know when.

the finals these days range from high 50’s to low 60’s sadly.

62k in the etihad would look and sound awesome.

So you rather have 35k empty seats? Instead of 60k sold out stadium? Where's the logic in that?
I’d rather we didn’t shut out potentially 15-20k fans. If that means some years where it’s 65k and there’s empty seats so be it.

2015 &16. Last year 65k.
Locking fans out of the game would be stupidity and losing mOney doing so for a code cash strapped even more so.

thankfully the RFL has more sense than you two lol

If I was a betting man I'd rather have a sold out 60k stadium than 35k empty seats. It will look better on TV and most probably attract new fans to the game. Imagine people watching the cup final for the first time and seeing red seat everywhere it doesn't look good for our sport. I see why the sport is going backwards in England prob coz the RFL has your type of mentality 🤔

2015 was 80k with your mob and Leeds while 2016 was 76k involving hull fc who along with kr always take a great following to Wembley and wire.

since then there hasn’t been a 70k+ crowd and this year’s final is looking like another crowd in the low 60’s.

Maybe just bump the price up by a couple of quid to match potential sales of 63k-65k At Wembley.

60k in the etihad or anfield will look and sound way better than 63k in Wembley with 25k big empty red seats.
