Phillip Hughes is the highest run scorer in the tournament and yet the Aussie selectors still wont pick him in the ODI squad

amazing when you think of it, he has no ODI form for NSW so they cant think outside the square once again proving they are just statisticians

I'd be giving him a go in the ODIs and Twenty20s too. Wonder if he'll be in that ACA XI. The unfortunate thing is Aussie selectors have this stupid tendance to pigeon hole players.

Nope, our win the other night pretty much secured our semi final berth, all we had to do tonight was if we did lose, limit the damage and by keeping Cape Cobras NRR below ours we have officially secured our Semi Final berth, it is impossible for Victoria to now miss

Victoria have been average this tournament, for a team that only lost 3 matches in 3 seasons they now have almost match that number in one tournament.

Don't know how much you can read into yesterday's batting. The team got to the ground about 15mins before start of the game and had no warm-up at all. The 2 captains got taken to the ground 30mins before the start just for the toss.

In the end we did well to limit the damage to our NRR when it was clear Cobras were going to win. McKay, McDonald and Siddle all bowled well.

With Cobras winning with 6 balls to spare our NRR was better than theirs at the end meaning we were guaranteed a semi final. It comes down to the last game to see where we finish, if Cobras win we finish 2nd, if Delhi win we finish 1st.
