Sharma dropped twice.

Connolly having a shocker.

Just cant do shit like that and expect to win
Have them 2 down early may not have made a difference, but we won’t be able to find out dropping catches

Also,
Just don’t get trying to fast track this kid in all formats , into roles he hasn’t played before or is an unfamiliar one

We're making bazball selections at the moment. Frazer McJerk was worth a go because he was red hot but should have been dropped and nowhere near the team now.

The handling of McSweeney was mind boggling.

Connolly's test selection was the worst since John Hastings. They seem to think because he can bowl spin he should play as an allrounder. Trouble is international batsmen aren't troubled by part time spinners and he's out of his depth as a batsman in these unfamiliar positions.

Add Konstas and they are really messing with these promising young guys.

India leg up with travel and our lack of bowling making it too tough. Should be happy enough with how we travelled.

Just a fizzer of a tournament. Rain ruined too many moments.

Am I right in thinking that was the last ODI for the year?

Following this, eyes goes to the WTC, then the Aussies tour of the West Indies which is a test and T20 series.

Then of course we have the Ashes at the end of the year

All the talk about Connolly, how about Maxwell's contribution of getting out to a long hop going for a big heave right after Smith got out, and then dropping Kohli before getting tonked for the winning runs....

I guess at least Maxwell is proven that he can should have done better. That 6 he hit before getting out was a thing of beauty, but as he so often does, he undoes it all completely the next ball. He has got runs on the board (see the performance against Afghanistan to win the game).

His selection makes sense, his performance was dreadful, there's no taking away from that.
Connolly is in a slightly different boat, his selection was questionable and his performance as a batter was dreadful. Thought he bowled okay to his credit. He played like a full time bowler, not a part timer.

Connolly contributed better in the game overall compared to Maxi, but he (should be) miles off opening.

Speaking of non contributors, how poor was Tanveer
