An explanation!

The Brisbane City Council has shortlisted 11 names, one of which will become the name of the new Hale Street link-Bridge crossing the Brisbane River in front of Lang Park.

Most of the suggestions are the usual suspects, boring pollies, anzac-digger themed crap etc, but one of the short listed is the Go-Between bridge. Now don't you want relatively important infrastructure SORTA named after an indie band. Do we need another Anzac named anything! I'd vote for a frenzal rhomb toilet block in St Ives, no really.
