I'd put Jarryd Hayne in charge of the rules committee.
A retired legend who loves the sport, no aim/prospect to coach, fullback, attacking genius, great defender while clearly not into the wrestling stuff at all.
Former fullbacks (they probably didn't practice wrestling at training so are as close to out and out attacking brains) should be more in the coaching and rules side of things and Hayne is the best fullback talent probably ever.

Hayne is about the best legend of the game left who is not tainted by being a coach or adviser or TV or other some such type of thing.

Get him on the rules committee.

And compared to his 93 broncos sides played very defensive football

He got an average side on paper playing out of their skins as shown when stew price took over (and yeh lots of them saw the writing on the wall and left cause price was a dud)

The only one who never played genuine rep footy was Jarrod Saffy. The other 16 either had, were at the time, or did in future.

It's pretty unreasonable to call them an average side or a makeshift bunch of misfits that Uncle Creeping dragged to an impossible premiership. It's not one of the top GF sides ever by any means but average it also absolutely was not.

Take Jamie Soward for example went from one of the best 58 in the comp to bent punter to Penrith cause price didn’t drop ate him

the national 6 again league comp is a million times preferable than the wrestle and cynical penalties league comp previously.

Except Penrith wrestle just as much as Melbourne did in the bad days. They are just allowed to get away with it. There is more favouritism in the way the games are officiated than ever before, because 6 again bullshit allows them to manipulate games without as much scrutiny.
