f**k all that talk of having a 'balanced' foward pack. If we dont get of to a good start against parra we are screwed.

Croker played well with the limited opportunities he had. Runs with alot of speed and didnt get caught out in defence. If Graham is back fro injury id put him back on the wing in place of Justin Carney

If our poor attack continues id replace Milne for Dugan. Milne is solid but Dugan is a freak.

Give McCrone a crack next week and see what he brings

We are missing Tilse and Logan , also Thommo was needed today.


On Dugan in the U20 , he impressed me heaps , he wouldnt look at of place in FG , but Milne hasnt done anything wrong to lose his spot.

Milne is solid and has been consistant since being named in the #1 last year but he is not a match winner. All im saying is that if our attack does fail to spark Dugan could be an answer. But yeah Milne deserves his spot at the moment

I don't support dropping Herbert at all. If anything right now I'd bring in Dugan for Purtell, seeing:

3. Croker
4. Monaghan
5. Milne
6. Campo
7. Herbert

If Graham is still out then it's a toss up between Carney and Purtell.
As much as I love watching Carney with the ball, the 2-3 tries he concedes each game is getting a bit too much to bear. I'd be OK with Dugan on the wing and Milne at FB too, but their natural positions are clearly the other way around.

I thought our forwards went OK under the conditions. Losing Thommo was a big blow and without a genuine dummy half we struggled with cohesion. Even with that I thought the pack did a good job against a fired up Easts team.

Miller and TLL were good. Harrison, Tongue and Shillo were decent, but all made bad mistakes at times. Turner and Thurling were solid and and Picker was OK.

I don't think we were mentally switched on for the game. Passing was sloppy, last tackle options were abysmal and we made bad errors at critical times.

All in all a game to forget and move on from.

I still think TLL will be more useful off the bench so I'd slot him into the 17th spot.

Thommo was great against the Tigers but I'm not convinced his fit enough to be playing and we can't risk being down a man during the game. I think Shillington needs to know that he isn't guaranteed his spot.
