Channel 10 Sports segement tonight

Is channel 10 going to make a bid for the NRL rights or something. Plenty of positive stories tonight on the 5pm news, with a special on African Kids taking up Rugby League in Sydney's west to be shown tomorrow.

Usually it's just an AFL wankfest.

That's probably it. Though the positive stories seemed a bit strange, usually they just report on things happening in the game, going out of there way to promote feel good League stories seems strange.

I don't think it makes much sense for any media to ridicule RL atm in NSW and QLD. "Swannies" are out of the AFL top 8. Titans and Broncs are both in the 8. 2 Sydney clubs are leading the NRL. 3 Sydney clubs are fighting to get in. Manly and Newcastle(not in Sydney) are also in the 8.

A large number of people will be paying attention to the next 2 rounds. Makes little sense to be putting the boot into Rugby League when there's hardly any alternatiive sport available.

Rules need to change for that to happen. They need the ability to show League on OneHD, and not have to show it on there main channel. Hopefully the digital broadcasting rules are relaxed a little to allow it to happen.

Does it annoy anyone else that not only is AFL the first sport broadcast on channel 10 90% of the time but they also have "Mark of the Week" and "Goal of the Week". Are you kidding me? Surely they could do something about this. Maybe "NRL Try of the Week" or "Hit of the Week" or something similar. This aint Victoria. Nobody cares about your stupid goals and jumping on eachothers backs to catch the ball (only for you to drop it on the way down and still get paid the mark).

Yeah that true but it just annoys me when im in a hurry to go out at night but i just want to see the sport quickly. Sport comes on and I have to wait 10 minutes for them to rabble on about AFL so i can see a whole 2 minutes of Rugby League. Just annoying and know many others that feel the same.
