The Sharks, who are one of the favs for, at the very least, making the 8 this year, were just hammered in their pre-season game by the Knights 44-18, with the Sharks last try off an intercept.

So, pre-season form = mean something or not?

I'm hoping it means no injuries, a look at some good defensive structures and a taste of some attacking plays. dont care about win or lose, as long as its not getting thumped by souths res side.

I want to see lots of angled runs, support runners, offloads and the ball given lots of air.
If it's just 5 x hitup and shit kick I will probably cry.

It's not only a trial - it's the Charity Shield. And if we get done by a Souffs team bereft of Latrell, Walker, Graham, Cook and Wighton that will indicate zero progress and a lot more work to do if we want to hope for anything better than "not coming last".
