yeah sloanySloan you mean ? Not sure but I'd be happy with that.
Love Sloan, hopefully get gets a chance this weekend to show what he has on the wing. Finau looks the goods for 1 spot let's see if he backs it up
I want to see him back it up this weekend, he impressed me in that trial and in all honesty never really took alot of notice of him. Team first mentality should have the best players picked and the others not having a whinge if they miss out. Should be alot tougher game this weekend can't waitI still rate Finau more highly than I rate CT
Just heard on 2GB that Cam Murray and Latrell Mitchell have been injured at training and unlikely to play on Saturday.
Totally agree one of the good guys playing NRL.Cam Murray wasn't named to play anyway, but man.. that is brutal for him if he's done his achilles. Rough
So, Lawson at Lawson Park Mudgee![]()
Dragons ready to breathe fire with fans in Mudgee
St George Illawarra Dragons players will make a special appearance in Mudgee at Lawson Park, ahead of their annual Charity Shield match against South Sydney Rabbitohs on Saturday 22 February.www.dragons.com.au
Ward looks very good from what I've seen. That said, Sullivan was the touted as the next best thing and look what happened there.DRAGONS DROP BALL ON ANOTHER TALENTED JUNIOR
Did the Dragons just drop the ball with another talented Gerringong junior with a skillset not unlike Tyran Wishart?
Former Rabbitohs Lachlan Ilias and Damien Cook won’t be the only players with a point to prove against their former club in this weekend’s Charity Shield in Mudgee.
The flipside of the Bunnies losing Ilias and Cook to the Dragons is talented young playmaker Ashton Ward who turned heads in the Rabbitohs’ trial loss to the Sea Eagles in Gosford.
Ward was the Dragons’ 2024 Jersey Flegg player of the year and is yet another Gerringong junior who looks a real talent, can handle five-eighth or halfback and kicks goals to boot.
Ward’s performance obviously caught the attention of Wayne Bennett in last week’s trial given he’s again got a spot on the bench for the clash against his former club.
Of course, Wishart was a Gerringong junior who had to move to Melbourne before his former club eventually showed some interest in trying to get him back after Wishart emerged as the NRL’s new super sub.
Ward has the potential to play a similar role at the Rabbitohs.
