Great performance today! A few things to work on as always but otherwise an awesome performance. We retain the shield for the 5th year in a row!
The whole side was impressive.
Sam looked brilliant, as did Farah, Robbie controlled things really well and had the defence guessing the whole game. Although the twins made a few mistakes, I think they were still pretty solid. Cook had a shakey start, but was great later on. Turner was great and Tyrrell played well. Crichton ran hard and Clark looked solid aswell. A strong performance from all forwards.
The backs also looked classy. Burns was brilliant and imo has earned a spot in Round 1. Both halves, Reynolds and Walker were awesome and complimented each other well. Bryson was solid, as was Hunt and Talaki really staked his claim for Round 1 (although I think he will JUST miss out). AJ Looked dangerous.
I think everyone played well!
It was an important trial but in saying that, it is only a trial so we can't get too carried away. We need to build on this solid performance. Bring on Round 1 and the rest of 2017!!!
