That's an interesting point i hadn't considered.
Burns will start on the wing, i don't doubt that but i would still expect Goodwin to start at centre over Talaki.
You're correct in what you say about Goodwin the winger, he doesn'tseem up to it
He was good on the wing today. Talakai rushed in a couple of times forcing Bryson in. It was Talakai's fault not trusting Cody.

Goodwin saved a try too and made some strong runs breaking the line with his step.

He did well today on the wing but is better at centre.

Wing. But he will slot into centre easily.

Why was Talakai taken off early????

Goodwin was not caught out a lot in defence. What can he do when Talakai comes rushing in unnecessarily. He has to come in too otherwise there is a big gap there.

You are over exaggerating. He was not caught out in attack imo. I don't believe he bombed a try.

Cook was better than ok.

Well he had proven enough, give Jennings a run. Why wasn't Goodwin given any time at centre?
Tyrell, turner, Reynolds, Sam, Sutton where all taken of early as well. I think talaki has done enough (remember talaki pushed Goodwin out of the centres in his last game last year as well)

He didn't prove enough to me or others in my bay. We all thought he's too slow for centre but is a solid back up there. Similar to McQueen for example. We were saying he could be used off the bench in the back row if injuries hit.

What hooker worth his salt does a flukey little mis-kick off the side of his boot!!

We won't see that aberration again too soon.

Apart from that oddity of a kick Cook didn't do enough to suggest that Farah's posse is in jeopardy!!
It was skill, not a fluke.

Then Turner came back on near the end.

I think Bryson will just get the nod.

Talaki did leave Goodwin exposed for their second try after Cody rushed out of the line to allow them over for their first. Understandable and the kind of thing that can be improved on as they play more games together.

I don't think so.
I don't think burns playing right wing was a coincidence. That's the wing spot that is available. I think burns started off as favourite.
Goodwin made a few mistakes today. He was caught out of positions a fee time. There was a bombed try because Goodwin wasn't in position. Burns positioning was overall good, while he didn't take the bomb, it was against mine McDonald with the sun in his eyes. The thing I liked is he attacked the ball when it was up. He of course scored 2 great tries that Goodwin wouldn't have.
If Goodwin was to play centre then I think he would have been given at least half a game there

I agree. I've always been a Goodwin supporter but I feel Madge will go with Talaki in the centres and Burns on the wing.
Burns has an x-factor that Goodwin doesn't have.

Maybe we've all been looking at this wrong and one of the twins needs to be dropped. That might make them hold on to the f**king ball.

I suggested it in a thread about prediction for 2017. I felt that at some point George will play reserve grade this year. People called me crazy. People still give him the benefit of the doubt, but if things stay as they are I think that'll change.

And they want to dump others that didn't put a foot wrong yesterday.

hunt/jennings centre combo should be given a chance as r20 says talakai is too slow to be a centre well jennings is fast and my top 5 has not changed from my top 17 team list its inevitable i believe but i know gray will force his way back in to the centres to partner hunt when fit;

1.inglis
2.johnston
3.hunt
4.jennings
5.burns

Doyen... cook has to be there mate at no9 when the opposition teams forwards tire then he can use his blistering speed to terrorize the opposition teams, whilst giving robbie a stint at lock which worked perfectly yesterday whilst farah and cook played along side each other harmoniously i thought..SSTID Agrees with me on this subject....Doyen your old school similar to myself and i am sure you can see that the farah/cook combo of hooker/lock was a success yesterday between these 2 great players when they played along side each other when farah had a stint at lock position it worked doyen and i am confident this is the way to go in 2017...Shadow....
