I just can't get enough, I love it in sandwiches, melted on bread, or just on it's own.

Is too much cheese a problem healthwise? Are some cheeses better than others?

Low fat cheese like cottage cheese are the best for you, but they taste like sh*t.

The thing that is unhealthy about cheese is high levels of cholestrol and saturated fat which is in the fat content of the cheese, and every type of cheese has a different fat content.

You probably should read the product information on the pack and go for the cheese you like with the lowest fat content.

Another tip i've heard is that Parmesan cheese is good because it has such strong flavour that you need very little of it, so even though it's a high fat cheese, you use a tenth as much.

Cheese is also a calorie dense food, (the lower the fat the lower the calories as well) - so it's not good if you need to lose weight (but low fat is better than high fat).

The other thing is salt content - some cheese has a lot of salt and that's not good.

Last thing to worry about is that it can cause constipation in some people, but that's only a worry if you are one of those people.

Here is an interesting new product i saw advertised on TV today.

http://www.kraft.com.au/liveactive_products.htm

Basically a low fat cheese with plant sterols added, so they claim it can reduce cholestrol levels.
If it doesn't cost a fortune or taste like sh*t, it could be a good solution if you love cheese and don't fancy a triple by pass at 50.

I suspect it would be both
I tried it.
It isn't dramatically expensive, and it's very like kraft cheddar - maybe a little bit blander.
Not my sort of cheese, but it would go ok on a toasted cheese sanga or similar - and people who like kraft cheddar would struggle to tell the difference.
If they brought out a sharper one like a coon tasty or similar i'd use it - but i think kraft cheddar is like eating soap.

There is some raw food people who say you can eat as much cheese and fat as you want. The cheese especially raw cheese is full of fatty vitamins that you cant get enough of.

All foods have a place in a balanced and healthy diet, and dairy foods are seen as the number one source of calcium, which is incredibly important for growing children and older people in danger of osteoporosis.
The key is balance. If you are eating big amounts of meat and cheese you are getting far too much saturated fat, and the most commonly used drugs in the country at the moment are the lipid reducing drugs such as lipitor - just used to reverse the effects of diets that are too high in saturated fat.
In short, cheese and meat are good for you, too much fatty cheese and meat are a leading contributor to our number one killer, heart and cardiovascular disease. You can eat more meat and cheese if you eat lean meat and low fat cheese, because the fat is the thing we are getting too much of.

Moderation and balance.
Just like sunscreens. There is a growing rend in Australia for people to lack sufficient vitamin D for the maintainance of healthy bones. No one is getting any sun-a major source of vitamin D.

Of course the wearing of religious garments hasnt helped but we wont go into that.

I think most of you would be surprised if you had your vitamin D levels tested.

I have cheese daily, can't get enough of it.

I'd rather die at 50 than live to 80 by giving up cheese.

Cottage cheese is right option, I also go for this because of the low fat.
I think now you can take cottage cheese after these recommendation.

Cheese is one of the rare dairy foods I can have, it's probably one of the things I ate too much of.
I have to admit I haven't tried cottage cheese.

Moderation is the key with cheese, I think this is a food a lot of people 'overdose' on, especially the soft sort of cheeses like Brie and stuff.

Not me...I wear tshirt and shorts almost all the time unless good reason not to. And only sunscreen at the beach.
