TERMS AGREED FOR WILLIAN

Chelsea Football Club can confirm an agreement has been reached with both Willian and his club Anzhi Makhachkala for the transfer of the Brazilian player.

The transfer is subject to a work permit hearing on Wednesday.

We are trying to get a player that a manager told will be a second option for him. We are not going for Van Persie. They don’t have to be against me. If I say Ramires is a second option for me and he plays when Lampard is tired or injured and if someone comes here to get Ramires, nobody is upset.

Hernandez is injured so he won't get his token dubious goal tomorrow.

I could see either Schurrle or Mata in place of KDB.

José might prefer to use Lukaku off the bench for impact like he did against Villa. Torres is fresh, and Ba will probably be sold this week

I'd also put KDB in for Mikel and start Schurrle, with a view to swapping him with Lampard in the second half

I know you won't agree, but having the headless chook Torres run around up front for 60+ minutes won't win us the game.

I thought Mikel would provide some steel in the middle, there is a chance he goes with Van Ginks instead too. As long as we don't go with a Rampard pairing I think we should be ok. They don't operate well together in the big games.

We were in the middle of a 69 game season, and Ba was brought in to score PL goals while Torres was busy winning the Europa League

He didn't do a very good job though
