Yeah it's definitely in need of a rebuild imo as well. Christensen has been the shinning light for the season for you guys as well. He's come back from a great loan spell and looked first class. It's having Cahill as the main defensive option while he's out that has hurt you.

The usual defensive steel has gone with no protection in the mids as well.

The loss of a great front man in Costa has hurt as well no doubt.

Conte seems gone for sure now so it'll be interesting to see who gets the job for the rebuild and Abramovich's backing.
Lack of midfield protection is odd considering Kante's presence. I know he's more of a classic CM at best but he still knows how to protect a back four

Haha I'm wading through FB message of people asking for tickets.

I'm personally prob not going to bother. Cost to fly to Perth to see Luis Enrique and our youth team I could fly to London in September (which I'm doing anyway).

Yep

If it was in early May I could combine it with the half IM in Busselton, but it's a long way to go to see yoof go round

Happy enough with that result. One mistake by the kid the only blip. Willian by far the best player on the pitch for either team. The fact we’re a little disappointed with a draw against Barcelona speaks volumes. Well played Chelsea

Tough to get a win there but given the chances everyone gave us I wouldn’t put it past this lot.

Quite a historic occasion as it turned out...

How can you be happy with that result? You played the better of the two sides and yet you're essentially behind in the tie going back to Nou camp?

I'd be devo. Tough task in the second leg.

Well considering expectations. I'm disappointed but not unhappy. I'm confident we can get a couple of goals in the return leg.

Not stickin the boot in or anything but what was that performance against city about. No one actually looked like they cared at all. Periods of play where Chelsea just stood still and watched City pass it around. Abramovich surely won't be happy with that at all.

Copy and paste from what I said elsewhere to save time.

Bad day at the office - poor tactics from Conte who should’ve changed systems quicker ...we defended well overall just lacked any ideas or energy going forward .... Barca , Utd, City is a tough run of games by anyone’s standards ... Kante was a massive miss I wonder if more than just him were affected by illness. It was certainly the least energy exerted by either team this season and the tactics may be the result of that.

Red card for Zinchenko and the game is different. Christensen or Alonso don't make a mistake, City have to play 2nd half, and it could have gone either way. This was the Barca game without periods of full press. Pity - 20 mins of full press might have won it for us.

Rednapps comments are laughable It’s always a high risk strategy. Lose 1-0 it’s a crime against football. Win 1-0 it’s a tactical masterclass. or equalise 1-1 with that Alonso shot and What the hell was Pep doing with all that backwards and sideways passing and not trying to get a second to be sure.

That's one way of looking at it. Just don't get why you guys didn't have a go at city. We did and won, Wigan hassled and harassed them all night and won. Definite quality in the Chelsea line up to cause problems regardless of outs.

No side will really nick a 1-0 win over city all that often by sitting deep and putting 10 men behind the ball.

Nobody has a go at Pep for City casually passing the ball side to side maybe because when 1 up against a team who had completely given up...why force the issue?

I'd say if we were at home we would have approached it differently. Both Wigan and yourselves beat them at home they beat you 5-0 at the Etihad.

No denying Tactics have been a bit off all season.
