Once again The Greatest Brain turns a decent topic into a mud-slinging contest. Nice work hero....
Anyways, back to the topic for a moment;
::> Cudicini
::> Johnson - Terry(c) - Gallas - Bridge
::> Makalele - Lampard - Veron - Duff
::> Mutu - Crespo
Notes: As I predicted at the start of the season, Mickael Forrsell was going to have a standout year wherever he went (which turned out to be Birmingham). Although he doesn't have a heavy pricetag like many of his more glamourous striking team-mates, in my opinion, he is a far more suited partner to Adrian Mutu than either Hasselbaink or Crespo. If I were Ranieri, I'd get him back and get him in asap. With Duff effectively acting as a third striker due to his sublime offensive game I hardly think it would make too much of a rackus as to leaving three centre-mids (Makalele, Lampard and Veron) effectively playing central midfield roles with Glen Johnson pushing the right wing every so often. It opens the field much more and if the Terry/Gallas partnership can recapture the form they shared during the 2001/2002 campaign than there will be no need to buy any more players, anytime soon.
Cheers.
