Anyone else agree that the prize money for the minor premiership should be more then $100 000?
I've thought not enough importance is placed on coming 1st in the NRL.

There is nothing "minor" about being the best team over a whole season.

Especially considering the NRL are offering the Dragons 250k to move the game next week.

Yes I think that pretty much puts the Minor Premiership prizemoney into perspective.

It should be more. It should be a huge incentive, not just some meaningless little bonus.

The NRL make more than $100,000 during the year in coaches' press conference fines alone. You'd think they could afford to pay the season's most consistent team a higher reward.

I agree.

Amazingly the best team of the past few years and triple grand-finalists are flying under the radar a bit. That will suit them just fine.

I think when it really really matters they are going to prove to a few people that they are still a very formidable side.

Definitely my tip to win.

Absolutely. Having Saints and Dogs battling it out for minor honors has generated a lot of interest and all of a sudden teams are wnting to compete for it as good reward in itself.

NRL should make it a million dollars & the prestige will grow. I think that can only be a good thing.

They're certainly in the mix.

But what do you base it on?

Having been there and done that.

The coach and the teams mental ability to just get on with it and the fact there is no pressure as no one is talking them up like previous years.

I think the pressure might get to the dragons, the dogs have lost kimmorley and the titans well i just dont see them making a n impact, especially after tonights effort.

throw in manly and brisbane both can win it, parra have won there GF already and newc or penrith are making up the numbers.

having siad that im just another punter and have no idea... so its just my opinion

spose we will wait and see what happens
