I can't see him contribute any more than what he is doing know.

Thats because Smithy wont use him properly.

<UPtheEELS>, Maybe but he can throw some miracle balls...I'll never forget the one in the Manly game this yr when he was nearly tackled and Cayless scored :D

I'll say it here and Now Chris Armit isn't better than the current crop of forwards running around now for Canterbury. Actually Feeney shits all over him and he's struggling to make their 1's

We couldve kept Armit, and not signed Pearson, Moi Moi, and Kaufusi. He wouldve been playing first grade regulary and wouldve even been a future rep player. But no thanks to Brian Smith he's going to the scumbag Dogs. And we are wasting our money on reggie rejects. What a joke, Smith has to go, along with Fitzgerald.

IF Fui would get fit he woould be nearly unstoppable. Against Manlyhe was so rampaging and tough and aggressive. Somethhing atm we lack, He is ideal as a bench player.

I dont blame him for leaving, it is pretty obvious he wasnt going to get a decent crack at firsts here so why not go looking for a better opportunity elsewhere.

it seems odd that we would just release both armits like this. perhaps they were letting off a bad odour

Im not saying we're keeping them, what I meant was we re-signed Armit before we signed Pearson, Moi Moi and Kaufusi. Why did we sign those 3 players, we had enough talent and those players have done f***k all.

I know we are in need of better players from elsewhere, but the key to a sucessful club is seeing the best juniors stay. No coach, CEO or whoever should put themselves above this philosophy.

I can't see much room for Armit in the first grade pack. However, you need to blood 'em sometime, and I'd rather see a young bloke like Armit struggle in top grade, than an old bloke doing the same. Chances are the young bloke is cheaper anyway, and will improve.

Anyone remember Smithy's tale re Hindy, how he was not really cutting it in the presidents cup side, and in sheer frustration, they threw him a game in the reggies, and he thrived on the higher standard and blitzed it?

Canterbury? Jeez, tis is our best chance of winning a comp - let Canterbury develop our juniors!

PARRA FAN how can you so confidently say that Armit would've been playing first grade regularly if Pearson, Moi Moi and Kafusi hadn't signed up? What difference did signing them up for this year make? The best players play first grade.

Chris Armit started the year in first grade if I'm not wrong (I'm not) - and he got dropped as the season progressed. What is it about him that impresses you so much? He's a no-frills worker who hasn't got the size to play prop, nor enough skills to play in the back-row. He's a long-shot in terms of being a good first grader, but he may well fill the no-frills workhorse role pretty well.

I think he'll play first grade if he's with the Dogs next year - their stocks of props are pretty thin right now! But I don't see him doing anything incredible...

Whats the bet Chris will be an Origin player with the dogs (like Tonga and Bobcat :( )

Bobcat was an origin player with us before the Dogs signed him.... he CHOSE to leave us, we didn't release him....

OH - and incidently, Tonga also CHOSE to leave - an interview earlier in the year quoted him as saying that he would've stayed if he thought he'd get a good shot at first grade, and that he wanted to stay and it was a realy tough choice to leave...

Yeah but they LEFT thats my point and now there playing origin...my point about Ryan is that not everyone thought he shouldve been dropped for Origin 3!!!!
So theyve become BETTER players after leaving us!!!!!
