I know we are in need of better players from elsewhere, but the key to a sucessful club is seeing the best juniors stay. No coach, CEO or whoever should put themselves above this philosophy.
I can't see much room for Armit in the first grade pack. However, you need to blood 'em sometime, and I'd rather see a young bloke like Armit struggle in top grade, than an old bloke doing the same. Chances are the young bloke is cheaper anyway, and will improve.
Anyone remember Smithy's tale re Hindy, how he was not really cutting it in the presidents cup side, and in sheer frustration, they threw him a game in the reggies, and he thrived on the higher standard and blitzed it?
