I just wanna say that i have been very impressed with Chris Armit since he has come into first grade this season. I think he has offered alot to the side in attack and defence. He is a imposing player and is certain to have a long successful career in first grade. That offload to send Cayless between the sticks for a try against Manly had class writen all over it. Falling to the ground just about to hit the deck with a offload to a player flying threw is magic from a representative forward let alone a rookie. I think he is highly under rated compaired to other rookies in the competition but i am glad he is with the eels. This is the year where Armit will become a perminate fixture in first grade for the eels.

He is definately not under rated by Eels coaching staff and junior representative selectors. A few years ago he was the captain of the Aus U'19's.

Armit would have already been a regular 1st grader had he not got injured last year.

I have a feeling that he may be a bit like a forward version of Michael Witt in the sens that he is under contract for a few more years so Smith may bring him along slowly so as not to rush him into the top grade and shatter his confidence if things were to go wrong.

He looks much bigger this year too. He's doing quite well when you consider he's coming back from a knee reconstruction.

with armit and stapleton, our forward pack has become much more stable fo sho

it tends to be the flashy rookies who get the accolades in the media, but when you watch armit and graham it's like they've been playing first grade for many years

Witt is definately not ready for first grade. Armit is but is not my kind of player. He is a log as far as I'm concerned.

Vella will not be signed beyond this year. I feel that Armit will become his natural successor. Local Junior with alot of skill. He reminds me alot of Nathan Cayless when he first came to grade, only bigger.

big call with Vella

It wouldn't surprise me if he isn't but in saying that I am expecting him to be resigned

Vella has a go and the pointless Vella bashing is mindless. This guys at least hits the ball up with some vigour. And the point of the thread is to glam up Armit, you know log boy.

Dvdhntr, I think you'll find thar Armit wore the number 8 jersey, not the number 10 jersey.

Armit is a classy player, you just dont see enough of him.

And how is Witt not ready for first grade when he played about 10 games last year. :? He handled it well, he'll be back in first grade before you know it.

Have you been watching premier league. If you have you will know what I mean. And why is Armit any better? He has time to improve but I think his youth is clouding everybody's short term judgement. He may well be great in the future but not now.
