Firstly he'll probably still need to find his feet at first grade, but I see him as a great player in the future. Anyway IMO Armit's probably a player who could possibly captain the side seven or eight years from now (provided he is still with the club, which is a bit of a problem of late), thats the type of player he is.

I have been watching PL, didnt see it last week, but I saw them play the week before against Souths. Except I dont know what u mean. Ok, Witt hasnt played all that well so far this season, but he'll improve and get back into first grade.

Im just saying Witt's handled first grade before, once he gets back in he'll find his feet. Even on the bench it wouldnt matter.

The thing is you can't "find your feet" playing Premier League. Armit has played great in PL picking up MOM award not long ago. Its clear that he is a step above PL. Surrounded by players like Hindmarsh, Stapleton and Cayless he is able to progress in first grade rather than stagnate in Premier League. He has done little wrong and put Cayless away under the sticks with a good off load.

As for Witt, I have been watching PL and for a kid who has played halfback he doing a better than good job of adjusting to the second receiver role. He scored a good try in PL against Manly where he broke tackles on his way to the line and set up a few tries as well. He will fill out over time and he will be able to play either role very well.

Thorman won't play first grade IMO until such time as Dykes form slips or he is injured. Thorman did play 5/8 in England but he isn't a 5/8. He doesn't have the defensive technique or the build to survive in the NRL at second receiver.

The best part about players like Armit, Stapelton and Peek is that they allow Cayless to play more attacking role. Cayless is playing so much better this year because he isnt only doing to dirty stuff anymore. This year he is still creating the go forward but also contributing in attack, he has made 5 line breaks in 2 games. There is alot of  for Hindmarsh but Cayless is just as good IMO.

Is Nathan Armit in Flegg related to Chris? If so are they the same type of player or not?

Nathan is Chris's younger brother. Not sure if they are similar players..... Nathan has picked up a few tries as a back rower.

I think Chris Armit had another impressive display against the Cowboys. In a losing side his performance along with Justin Tsoulos was a real shining light. Sure he isnt a Fuifui Moimoi who is going to make a huge physical impact when he is on the field but Armit is shaping up to be a real solid prop forward. Armit was really hitting the ball up with alot of speed and not getting put down in dominate tackles which was very impressive.

Vella signed a four year deal in 2001, along with Hindmarsh and Cayless. All off contract at the end of 2005. Its likely we'll re-sign both Cayless and Hindmarsh.

I dont understand why Smith uses him as a prop and takes him off after 20 minutes, he can play 2nd Row as well. He must get more game time.

Pazza, I agree with all your comments.

Armit is the younger and potentially more improved version of Ian Hindmarsh.

I don't think he has let the team down so far but he does play an "UNNOTICED" role like Ian used to. And that's how we should bring him along playing next to Hindy and Cayless.

If our team was all FUI FUI and Tsolous type, we would have more holes in our defence when they become tired. I reckon Armit in the 2nd row could play close to a full 80mins

Mate, I agree 100%.

Armit's hit-ups (especially from the restart) where like Vintage Vella's, but with even more spice.

His defence was solid.

And Tsoulos - the more I see of him, the more I like him. Solid defence (sure, he may not be very mobile, but one on one he is great; the smaller more mobile players can work next to him to clean up anyway), and his attack - WOW!

These two guys are GUNS, and will be top quality players in no time.

Easily our best players against the 'Boys.

I cant wait till Aaron Cannings is fully fit! He is a big unit just like Moimoi and Tsoulos but he seems to be more athletic. I think he is the forward with the most amount of potential outside Hindmarsh and Cayless at the club. Cannings is going to be awesome for the Eels when he come back from injury!

With the injurie & suspension to Cayless. Armit should find himself in the starting side for a while

Like Cayless, Armit can play both prop and 2nd row so I'd say Armit could end up with the #12 jersey v Storm unless either Hopkins or Muckert are called into the side which may see Armit stay on the bench

Tsoulos and Armit are on form and deserve starting spots. I would mine seeing

8.Tsoulos 9.Morris 10.Stapleton

11.Hindmarsh 12.Armit

13.Hopkins

15.Peek 16.Vella 17.Widders
