What if these percived poor attitudes and sooking is a result from Madge not wanting to retain them. Effectively forcing the hand of the player to sign elsewhere, which would lead to a drop off in performance and clearly a rise in sookery
I've had it with workers on my farm. Got a crew of fruit pickers from Vanuatu. The owner of the last farm they worked on warned me. These guys are lazy, they have attitude problems, can't handle the heat and work. Keep on them, keep pushing them or they'll do nothing.
On the first day i talked to their leader. He explained that they had problems getting paid, all their guys sent their money home and they were surviving of just rice. So i gave them a pig to slaughter. The next day they all arrived happy and chipper and put in the best days work I've seen from any group. They were polite and friendly and would do anything for them. The other farmer didn't respect them and they didn't respect him hence the difficulties. My relationship was so much better. They were such good workers that i had to force them to slow down. We continued that relationship, i gave them more pigs, always made sure they had cold drinks, looked after them. After the season finished they invited me over to Vanuatu and have told me they'll be back with more workers for me next season.
Just imagine if i believed the other farmer when he said they had attitude problems. Imagine if i kept pushing them and went down the asshole route. Imagine if i called them whinging sooks and why should they complain, I'm paying them.
You may think it's different to nrl footballers but it's not. They are human as well
