Shoulder to shoulder in the 'Burrow'. All you guys do is confirm the prejudices the rugby league public hold about Souths supporters, eg; morons with IQ of 50.

I don't sit in the Burrow.

I don't care what the uneducated think of SOUTHS.

We are The Pride Of The League:cool:

South Sydney Rabbitohs release Chris Grevsmuhl immediately, expected to join Panthers
2 hours ago by STAFF WRITERS Source: FOX SPORTS

AFTER constant speculation, South Sydney have finally granted young star Chris Grevsmuhl a release, with the Emerging Maroons second rower expected to link with the Panthers.

Grevsmuhl earlier this year signed on to join Penrith from next season on a lucrative two-year deal but a recent decline in his relationship with Rabbitohs coach Michael Maguire ensured he was ushered out the door early.

It’s understood Grevsmuhl was criticised by Maguire after the Rabbitohs’ round nine loss to the Tigers and it was the last straw for the 22-year-old who didn’t turn up to training early the following week.

That put the wheels in motion for his early release, with Penrith’s decision to release Elijah Taylor to the Wests Tigers key in accommodating an early move for Grevsmuhl.

The Panthers are yet to confirm that they have picked up Grevsmuhl after the Rabbitohs issued this statement: “The South Sydney Rabbitohs have agreed to release back rower Chris Grevsmuhl from the remainder of his contract effective immediately.

“Grevsmuhl played 29 NRL games for the Rabbitohs having made his debut in round one, 2015, scoring eight tries for the club.

“This was to be Grevsmuhl’s final season in the red and green having already signed a contract to join another NRL club (the Panthers) for the 2017 season.

“Rabbitohs General Manager of Football Shane Richardson said: ‘Chris has developed his skills into an NRL footballer at our club since making his debut at the beginning of last season.

“We wish him the best of luck in the future.”

Any word on whether we got anyone from Penrith in exchange for Grevs? Hope we didnt just let him go, should have made him play 2nd grade all year if we get no benefit out of letting him go.

It appears that we won't get anyone.

Well that's disappointing. Should have kept him for leverage and to send the message that poor behaviour won't be rewarded.

There's still some rumour that we might get someone but I can't see anything definite.

As far as keeping Grevsmuhl to send a message, I can only say that we have won the two games since he was released.
